Quick question about the art, if I were to join would I have to draw a pic for every day of Tankmas or just one piece? I'm asking because I only will have time to do one pic.

Everyone is always free to create festive art for the art portal, BUT don't expect your portal submissions to make it into the game if you do, even if you've already finished it.

The enthusiasm is immensely appreciated, but this won't be showing up in the Advent. You'll need to apply, then have your application reviewed + accepted before beginning on an art piece for the project. Even then, all art pieces must stay private until it is debuted in the game.

That's not to say you can't make a festive art piece for the portal! It just won't be spotlighted in this year's Advent Calendar. We also like to reserve the 'Tankmas 2024' tag for the actual submissions, but I obviously can't stop you, only hope you'll respect our wishes.

Just the one. Every artist chosen for the "Daily Present Art" role get's to have their own day in the spotlight. Everyone is allowed to pick a day they'd prefer to debut their art, but they'll otherwise have a deadline provided for them.

There's also plenty of ways to contribute with art, such as a short 1-shot Comic Book, helping someone else out with their mini-game assets, emotes, stickers, character costumes, other things I'd prefer not to state just yet.

ok whatevs so... how do we know we were accepted? do you reach to us to our dms on discord or through NG? cool to know that once we hear that we're in we're be able to work on our entries and stuff but the main thing is that.... from where are you going to reach us to tell us that we were accepted?

Iam not sure if iam going too enter but if i would i have two questions:

1: Does Tankman have too be involved the piece? I checked a earlier tankmas too get a idea about what it is and there every subbmision didnt have Tankman but i wanted too see if the rules had changed?

2: If i would want too submit something is it better too fill the google sheet before or after the piece is complete and should i include a picture of the piece if its finished in the sheet?

Maybe these questions are really obvious but iam really new too Newgrounds and dont have any previous experinece with how Tankmas works

1. It's highly encouraged to use Newgrounds characters in your art piece, but it doesn't have to specifically be Tankman! It could be any other character that started its life on Newgrounds - Boyfriend, Salad Fingers, ENA, NOX, etc.

2. DON'T WORK ON A PIECE UNTIL WE LET YOU KNOW IF YOU'RE IN! We have limited space, so we aren't able to fit in everyone who applies. With the examples question, that's for you to submit things you've already done as examples of your style.

You should be able to edit your application if you need to!

In November 2020 we came up with the idea to go multiplayer because of covid and social distancing. we felt it a perfect new feature to cap the end of a bad and lonely year for most people. It's stuck around ever since!

I wanted to give this a shot, see if I end up in the mix, but I don't have a Discord... Do I really need to make one? Would appreciate an answer.

I highly recommend signing up for a discord account, even if you never end up using it after this. But if there really is no way around it, send me a PM and we'll work something out.

Additionally, if you don't already have a handy Discord account and you don't expect to ever use it beyond this project (I highly doubt it, since discord is an invaluable resource for many reasons), you can save making a Discord account until you know if you've been accepted.
