GTA 6 since Valve only does things with Half Life when it comes to innovation (sadly).
And also bc we got actual leaked footage of GTA 6, while we haven't gotten squat for HL3 afaik.

That's an easy answer, considering that we already have an announcement for GTA 6. Also, enough with Half-Life 3, Valve practically admitted that they weren't even considering it anyway, and even if they did, it would've been outdated considering how the FPS genre changed in the last 2 decades.

GTA 6 will likely be released next year, whereas HL3 is basically a conspiracy theory at this point
That being said, we might see HL3 before a PC version of GTA 6

gta six has had leaks hl3 hasn't.
if hl3 was being developed there would've been so many leaks since it is a highly anticipated game

Half-Life 3 is absolutely in development. No ifs and or buts about it. The higher attention with Half-Life: Alyx, renewed interested in mechanics and design, new hires, enthusiasm, revival with updates interviews and more, internal documents basically screaming that this is happening. Release date? Uncertain but far more likely than it ever was in the last 15 years. But GTA VI will come out first. I'd be surprised if Half-Life 3 wasn't released some time in the second half of the 2020s.

GTA6 has at least had a trailer. Half-Life 3 has been a myth for over a decade now.
GTA 6 has a somewhat concrete release date of "sometime in late 2025", whilst Half-Life 3 has continued to be naught but a persistent rumour for its entire "existence" (sidenote: I genuinely forgot about the Half-Life series before seeing this thread).
Going by People Make Games' look into Valve, the company's use of stack ranking to determine employee salaries disincentivises them from working on long-term projects (like, say, making Half-Life 3) - to quote one ex-employee interviewed by PMG:
A lot of people, including myself, did put a lot of weight on this throughout the year, so decisions that you made were through the lens of 'how am I going to be ranked against my peers at the end of the year?' And this did have the effect of a lot of people making short-term decisions. With both those in mind, I'm gonna say GTA 6 is releasing first. If Half-Life 3 actually comes out before then, I'm giving Supporter to everyone who reacts to this post.
GTA 6 does exist and it will happen, but we don't know if Half-Life 3 will ever happen, maybe one day.

GTA 6. I believe that Valve will make A half-life game sometime soon. We have a fucking trailer for GTA 6 and a vague release window and nothing but rumors and speculations for half life 3.

HL3 will come out the same day as gta6 as ordered by gabe newell, it was finished years ago and has been waiting in a vault for the right moment. his plan is for multiple highly anticipated games to release at once and over whelm ever single store front's servers to cause the global black out which kick off the events of bladerunner. source? me, i am the source engine
oki in all seriousness tho, gta6 got announced and has a release date/window and we even got a full trailer. meanwhile valve has no plans of making a half life 3 as far as we know after half-life 2 episode 3 got canceled.
so it is less a video game and more like the unicorn in my basement, it probably doesn't exist and it isn't coming out
Considering that Half Life: Alyx came out and did very well for a VR game, we might actually see a Half Life 3. And in VR, no less.
