Just woke up and the night is still young! Maybe I’ll play some more Binding of Isaac to celebrate… Or maybe Sonic Adventure DX, I dunno, their facial expressions does trigger some nightmares, don’t it?

The 3D modeling got better with sonic adventure 2 at least, but damn is 1 really bizarre even for back then.

I have criticisms for both Adventure 1 and 2, especially regarding their animations: I actually prefer 1’s fixed animation loops over 2’s awkward motion capture with some of the characters’ dismembered arms. However, considering 2 is more cinematic than 1, it makes sense why they went that direction. Regardless, despite their awkward animation and poor audio mixing (looking at you, 2), I still loved those games ever since the Dreamcast era; so I will forever have a soft spot for them!

Would you want to watch it in dump or just be able to download it from dump? Download only could avoid us having to process the video. I still get nervous about people uploading illegal videos but that's less likely with it being a Supporter feature now.
Happy Halloween!
I had plans to work on something for the occasion, worked on some ideas past week, but then COVID hit.
I swear this virus disables the brain! Couldn't get in the right state of mind to compose anything. Gonna try next year! :)
Good luck to everyone participating!

Ever since our classic collection system was merged into the modern playlist system, I’ve been bumping up against the 100 item limit. Often it’s a good constraint to maintain quality but there have been a lot of times where it has been too limiting. Jim is wrapping up some optimizations to the playlist system and we’ll soon be rolling out an update, where Supporters can add up to 200 items. This should be a big help!
I recommend exploring NG to the fullest, as the front page is just a sample of all the amazing things being shared here right now. Also be sure to follow the artists you like, so you can keep up with their work in your artist feed.
Hope you're having a spooky day!
Happy Halloween y'all, congrats to the winners!
oh, and enjoy the end of spooky month!
Oh, I just have one question to @TomFulp.
So with the upcoming playlist feature, now if the Supporter makes a playlist of up to 200 items. Can a non-supporter view it or is it for Supporters only?
Happy Halloween, everyone! I'm excited to dig into these playlists

I think I've said this before, but you can very easily circumvent this using .zip files. I do this when distributing my Dipthong albums.
Uploading these files naturally would not make anything worse.
This Halloween is a total blast! So many amazing songs, art, movies, games, everything! By everyone!
I loved the movie submissions! There were plenty of bangers in there, I'm proud of me finally getting off my ass and making a cartoon, which is something I've been wanting to do for awhile, Happy Halloween!

Hmm yeah that’s valid. Supporter perk would be cool. I just want to share my work in progress with other artists for feedback and well swf is extinct on most peoples computer so it becomes tougher to rely on the dumping feature. Keep in mind I’m being totally dismissive of the technical or bandwidth considerations of having a feature like that.
None

We do still plan to add Ruffle support to Dump, so it can display SWF stuff.

To put in my two cents, anyone looking to upload illegal videos has much better places to do it than Newgrounds Dump.
MEGA's the most obvious one coming to mind - that lets you upload videos without paying a monthly subscription, and the end-to-end encryption means the feds have a hard time nailing you for what's on there.
YouTube also seems to be a surprisingly good option these days - someone managed to get a full rip of WALL-E past Content ID and rack up 1.5 million views before the inevitable takedown. Compare that to here on Newgrounds, where a full rip like that would be caught and deleted before it even leaves Under Judgment.

Oh ok I’m not mad anymore then. Would also be good if you can add video to a blog without it being hosted on YouTube thx

There goes my chance to share Polybius gameplay footage.

Newgrounds has had a dedicated video player since mid-2012 - allowing it to embed in blogs/posts shouldn't take too much effort. Granted, nothing's ever easy when it comes to programming/coding.

The difficulty is that every uploaded video needs to be processed for the web and stored on our servers. Without the constraints of the movie portal, we could see explosive growth in the amount and length of video uploaded, meaning more processing and more storage, as well as more time chasing down stolen videos or videos with unlicensed commercial music.
In the years ahead, video compression will improve, processing and storage will become cheaper / more plentiful and we'll be able to at least integrate our existing API for music content ID. All this means that it should get more doable over time, if the requirements for video don't get too out of control (people will probably want to upload 3D immersive video at some point, for example).

...damn, I was seriously off the mark on where the problem lied.

This is gut instinct, but I imagine the music content ID is pretty high priority for you right now - sure, you'd probably need to set up an appeals thread like the one for audio once it goes live, but automatic content ID means less work for the mods, which is always a plus.
All this means that it should get more doable over time, if the requirements for video don't get too out of control (people will probably want to upload 3D immersive video at some point, for example).
You want my take, I think people here are gonna be fine with 2D - last big 3D thing I know of is the 3DS, and that's long since been discontinued. Virtual reality also doesn't seem like its gonna take off any time soon.
