I didn't forget about this piece, nuh uh! I'm very pleased with how it turned out, especially the lighting and clouds, those were insanely fun to draw. I also snuck in a little teaser for another character I plan to add to this series soon, mhm.

Another WIP of the new character I'm working on for my Divine Machines project. I might have, possibly, overdid the design. I'll need some divine intervention of my own if I ever hope to draw the character again without obliterating my wrist.

I'm glad you like how it's coming along! Picking the colors for this one was especially tricky, I went through so many different combinations before settling on the current version. She's supposed to be from space. Ꮚˊ̥̥̥ꈊˋ̥̥ूᏊ

My new character's finally finished ୧༼✿ ͡◕ д ◕͡ ༽୨
Her design is a combination of three characters in Chinese mythology rolled into one. Erlang Shen, Howling Celestial Dog, and the Tiangou.
Tiangou and the Celestial Dog are sometimes used interchangeably in myth, as they are both black hounds, but are technically different beings. The former is known for eating the sun & moon during an eclipse and the latter is Erlang's hunting companion. Since Erlang is known for this third eye, I incorporated that into HeiXing's design as well.

I'm feeling really good about how this piece is coming along. I've been experimenting with more complex poses and angles to really push myself as of late and I'm pleased with the results so far.
If anyone can tell who this character's supposed to be, I'll silently nod in approval.
