Alternative rock

probably a mix of melodic glitch hop (like thefatrat), edm, melodic dubstep, (regular and sometimes kawaii) future bass? and a sprinkling of k-pop and j rock and pop that my friends make me listen to lol

God dammit....how the hell am I supposed to guess the rock people FFFFUUUUU-

You seem pretty average. Don't feel bad!! You're probably chill and talk sometimes but for the most part don't give a fuck. In this world of crazy people, its extraordinary to be ordinary, so don't feel bad. You probably have hobbies and favorite foods and favorite places you like to go. Ok listen I'm sorry I'm kinda lost and can't give a good answer for this one 😭😭 Please don't kill me

I'll never look back, I've got no regrets,

Cause time doesn't wait for me

I choose to go my own way

Tell me you're into beats without telling me you're into beats. You're either a drummer or watch a lot of drummer videos like 8BitDrummer. You're always on rhythm and are probably really good at rhythm games and stuff that involves keeping a beat (like Friday Night Funkin' for instance *cough cough* not inserting my love for my favorite NG game since Pico's school *cough cough*) You're musically inventive and probably can sing pretty well too. If you're not a musician, definitely an artist who keeps beat with sketches and drawings. Somehow if that's true, music helps you draw better. You got a lot of knowledge as well and can pull out a fun fact with friends at any time! You're probably on the more emotional sensitive side but don't like to show it; or just ride through like a bass going for a walk. You seem like a cool kinda person!

Ok this cracked me up. I know it's supposed to be a joke, but the description is so far from what I'm like it's hilarious.

Not a drummer, still working on my rhythm.

Only 8bitdrummer video I watched was that megalovania one!

Terrible at rhythm games, but I'm releasing an FNF song this Sunday! (shameless plug)

Singing? You mean wailing? I can't sing lol.

I am a musician, but I can't draw for the life of me! I tried to draw a bird for someone and they asked if it was a walking hot dog (they weren't joking, they said it was something they would think I would draw)

The rest of them I'd say are pretty on point.

Cool? I hope so!

Thanks for doing mine, gave me a much needed laugh

I thank you, too! Ok, now i am curious... i asked some friends music related questions. Maybe a lot information, but you may leave out and ignore informations, you dont need:

First, my questions i asked :

1. Which music genres do you like the most?

2. Does it depend on your mood (sometimes or always, etc.) which music genre you listen to?

3. Can you imagine a music video for every (favorite) song? (Even there is one made already.)

4. Is the statement of each song important to you, or can you even sing along word for word?

5. Is it more important whether it's sung in German, English, or any other language?

6. What is your song, which you have taken into your heart and can listen to again and again without getting tired of it?

7. (optional question): If 6 is answered: what do you associate with this song (if there is any association)?

8. Favorite singer or band?

Now the answer of the first person:

1. Metal, rock, alternative, punk, pop

2. Sometimes it depends on my mood, then I choose a song and play it on repeat. But most of the time, I just put on my playlist and listen, skipping the ones that don't suit my mood.

3. If I understand the text, a movie already plays in my head, yes.

4. With some songs, I don't know what they're saying. I just like them that way. I always need to look up the lyrics and read them, because it's hard for me to figure out what they're singing, especially in foreign languages. Even with German-language songs, I prefer to read along.

Some songs I can almost sing along to perfectly, but usually I need the lyrics to avoid forgetting or mixing up the words.

5. The language isn't important to me, but I prefer to sing along in German or English. If it's a language I'm not familiar with, I'll either leave it alone or practice beforehand.

6. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden is one song that stands out to me. If I had to choose just one.

7. There are many more songs, inspiring me, but let's stick with this one (Black Hole Sun). I only discovered it very late, and it totally moved me. Then I painted a picture and Chris killed himself... which totally shook me, even though I didn't know him for long. It opened up old wounds that I was able to heal afterwards. I even painted him twice more. It might sound silly, but it's true... thanks, Chris.

8. Favorite Bands/ Singers : New Model Army, Breaking Benjamin, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Iced Earth. Singers: Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Amy Lee.

You imagine yourself in drift races when you listen to music. You listen when you work out or drive to work/school and your focus is even better with this in the background. You see the good in things and notice details people often miss. You're very intuitive and smart and attentive, though quiet.

You're a heavy JP music buff and you watch a lot of anime. You live love listen to OPs and other parts of the soundtrack to your favorites. You imagine yourself doing the Akira drift on your bike too.

Your reasoning makes absolute sense. From my two genres, it would be rational to assume that. For some reason, the only two anime I've ever watched were JoJo back in 2019 and Initial D. I found Initial D from Eurobeat and not the other way around (because I'm not like the other girls). My love for orchestral music mostly comes from film and games. Think Indiana Jones, Castle Crashers, Wizard101 and Halo Reach.

Oh damn, this is a nicely detailed one. Let's see here...

The person who requested I read them from the answered you shared with me has a deep personality. They've been through a rough patch, or many rough patches, throughout their life, leaving them both with scars...and experience. They know the deep waters of depression and the depths of bad mental illness, and relate to artists, like lead singer Chris of Soundgarden, closely due to said struggles. (RIP to a legend...I didn't know about that, and I only just remembered Black Hole Sun because I heard it on the rock radio station one time. Its a really good song, and a great pick for this list.) They seem like a kind hearted soul with a tough exterior, but one who is super open when you get to know them. Their favorite thing is to be able to help other people by sharing their experiences, and enjoying music together. Just because they listen to hard music doesn't mean they themselves are hard as rock - but the experiences they have been through are. They have incredible willpower and often do their best work alone, but trust their friends. I sense a Knuckles vibe, guardian of the Master Emerald, that kinda cool shit. They probably like nature too, anything with an environment to look around is good. Idk if I got any of this right but that's what I'm sensing here.

Oh hello, Wizard101, that's old as hell - jeez, brings me back to the days I saw those ads on TV along with Pirate101. I miss those days...well, I'm glad to have gotten some of it right! If you're looking for great orchestral music in video games, I highly recommend the Castlevania series for a more baroque/gothic/romantic vibe for orchestral OSTs that are all bangers. That being said, thanks for your feedback! I'm glad I got to have gotten it some parts right.

Anything with a loud sound you have a great time with. You always have your speakers on while in the car and have the greatest choice in music. You scream the lyrics to every song you hear and do fantastic air drumming. You're rowdy and raucous but in a good way. I'd love to go to a concert with someone like you, because you'd make it the time of my life! Idk. I'm so sorry I'm running out of answers for the metal and dubstep peeps ;-;

You haven't played Sonic, aw well. Let's just say you have good instinct and know who to trust and not to. You're wary of most but you have a good heart. That's what I mean, because Knuckles is wary of most others even Sonic before he met Sonic. The Master Emerald is a stone of power that Knuckles is responsible for protecting.

Btw, this the persons answer, you analyzed before:

"I'm not even sure if I watched a Sonic movie, I think I did, but I can't remember at all. I had a Game Gear back then and I played on it Sonic. The annoying thing was that you couldn't save your game progress. So you had to play through it all over again or leave it on while I slept ;) .

I can definitely relate to that analysis. I don't have a deep connection to Chris though, I didn't really know him. Although now (thinking about it bit deeper) I do feel a deep connection to him. So it kinda fits after all. When I've painted someone's portrait, it somehow feels like a connection. It's hard to explain.

Everyone goes through tough times, we don't really learn how to deal with loss. And because of all the religious nonsense they drilled into us (suicide doesn't exactly look good in that context) I suffered for a long time (not because of Chris, but because of a friend). So that fits too.

I'm usually reserved around strangers. I can't deny that I have a bit of a savior complex.

I like working alone, often, yep.

I've got good instincts too... yeah.

Actually, it fits really well. It's amazing to analyze that much just from music taste. My deepest Respect!"

Whoa!!! Nice, I got another one. To that person, you are welcome! If you've got other friends you'd like me to guess for, come on by!

I'll never look back, I've got no regrets,

Part 2:

The Questions:

1. Which music genres do you like the most?

2. Does it depend on your mood (sometimes or always, etc.) which music genre you listen to?

3. Can you imagine a music video for every (favorite) song?

——————————

The answer of second friend:

1. New Wave/Synth, Electronic, Trap/HipHop/TripHop, basically genre-crossing.

2. It really depends on my mood what I want to listen to at any given moment, and I prefer enjoying (songs that are important to me) through "good" headphones (whatever that means ;))

3. Not really, but if I focus on it... yes. Music videos have become more and more important.

4. No, not primarily, because I usually don't listen to lyrics - whether it's English or German or whatever - But if care, i would prefer written text. I generally have to like the musical construct, then I might listen to the lyrics more closely. There's also a well-known singer who sings in a constructed language (i.e., without meaning) - I personally find that kind of childish and inappropriate, because if you're already speaking/singing, it should be understandable or at least a language that you can understand or "translate".

5. I don't really care what language is sung in - but since I'm more proficient in German, and it's about understanding: I prefer German, unless it destroys the musical framework, then the "more harmonious" language ;)

6. Clearly: Mr.Mister with Broken Wings

7. Actually, no special connection, it's just The Promise you made by Cock Robin, simply an evergreen for me

8. (many) Favorite female singers: Amy Winehouse/Björk/Jamie Lee Kriewitz/kate Bush, favorite male singers: Freddie Mercury/Morten Harket/Steve Perry - favorite bands: many, but Depeche Mode, ABBA, The Prodigy

I listen exclusively to trailer and production-music (the orchestral kind).

My favorites are Mark Petrie, Epic Score and NYB's Optimistic Themes series.

I have a strong affinity for staccato strings and contemporary and experimental strings articulations

Musician to a tee and a professional no less. Somehow I've thought I've seen you before making the rounds on Youtube. You enjoy the dramatic and adventurous and have an eye for good animation, soundtrack and storytelling. Maybe you write stories yourself. You seem to be the kind that likes to discuss said topics above to a grand degree and often get into civil debates about whether certain movies and media get it right. You don't listen to the chuds that claim everything has a political message, ie "woke" and despise said discussion; not because you're liberal but because anyone with a brain knows not to deal in that shit, it's not worth it and there are better things to focus on message-wise when it comes to a movie. (I may be liberal but I agree!!) You're thoughtful and philosophical and love socializing with others. You also like asking lots of questions and making small talk. You're friendly as well though mostly keep to yourself, and incredibly strong in determination and belief. Keep at it and you'll go far!
