I never really considered having a favorite genre, more of a broad assortment of them and some artists, which probably counts? Be warned, I feel like this is going to be disjointed as hell.

First music genres I really got into were hard rock and metal through some school friends who were in band. I don't listen as much to those anymore, but I still hold them close to my heart though. Nowadays, most songs I listen to are electronic, mostly synthwave or any kind of house, but I got into drum n bass kinda recently. After that, it's all mainly alternative or indie. If it's psychedelic it's good too. I'll just list some bands or artists that I think off from the top of my head.

That's one I know I can bet on.

Anything with a hard bass you loooove. That 8bit grinding synth for a bass on the NES, SNES and Genesis turn you hype. Anything with a good set of guitars, basses, and drums are always your favorites. You don't particularly care for those high pitched crazy solos...you focus more on darker ambience and the hard hitting background sounds. Idk
