Happy Pico Day!
Today is a celebration of all things Newgrounds, with fan art, animation, games and music inspired by all the original works that can be found here.
We're offering Double XP today and tomorrow, so try to vote on at least TEN entries today and TEN tomorrow! Your votes help lift up the best entries to the top. The more you vote on NG, the more your votes will be worth over time.
Yesterday over 300 of us converged in New Jersey for a public Pico Day Party hosted by @BrandyBuizel, @Coby and @Tamag0! It was a big magical day at an amazing venue, with space to hang out and talk, draw at tables, play games and watch a screening of animation.
Today there’s another event in progress, an Ireland Meetup hosted by @Snackers!

A lot has happened here on NG since the last Pico Day!
We launched a huge Art Portal update with true multi-image support, multi-author and formatting options for displaying multi-art, among other improvements.
We made a big Playlist update, migrating the old collection and series pages into the playlist system and allowing people to manage their own series pages.
We introduced Project Templates, to save some clicks for new projects.
Accounts were made more secure with email 2FA as the new default for anyone not using an authenticator app. We upgraded our password hash and can now accept really long passwords. We upgraded PHP and made countless other behind the scenes improvements, with more in the works.
There were tons of collabs and events like the Eddsworld Charity Art Contest, Art Inspired Music Contest, Clock Day, Robot Day, NG Summer Fest, Writer’s Jam 1, Live Action Jam, Madness Day, Taifau Cafe Art Contest, Sweet Sixteen Comic Contest, Piconjo Day, William and Sly Art Contest, Paper Planet Art Contest, Love Me NG Art Contest, Battle of the Bands, Art Secret Santa, Halloween Spooktacular, Pixel Day, Flash Forward and more!
We pooled our resources via the NG Money Gang to sponsor big releases like Salad Fingers 13, Monkey Wrench 3, Necro Nancy and Ratbasterdz.
We gave away 27 drawing tablets for artists in need!
A bunch of us met up in real life at Too Many Games, Toronto, Derpycon, and Pax East.
All of this happened because NG stuck around for another year! Imagine all the things that will happen between now and next Pico Day. Thank you everyone who contributes to making NG such a special place!
