Thinking about getting a new drawing tablet that connects to the computer - What are your recommendations? Should I switch to screen or no screen?
P.S Worth noting that I don't want anything from Wacom anymore, as they have declined in quality.

Huion screen tablets are pretty good. I have had no regrets or complaints. Screens are pretty greate because you no longer have to deal with hand-eye cordination jank, but if you're getting a screen tablet, I would recommend getting a big one as the UI elements of art programs can take up a lot of space.

Definitely love the huion I own. They have native linux drivers available, unlike wacom which usually have to use reverse engineered drivers.

Kinda, but I just ignore them. It does suck that those topics are 'popular' cause of people just spamming their art in there. Preferably I would rather have genre art specific topics where you can see a cohesive type of art being posted like a scifi art topic, a horror/dark topic, capcom art topic or anything that's not a spammy art topic. At least then people will have to put effort and have common interest in types of art even if the topic doesn't get constant traffic or replies. I do like the idea of merging those three topics as they are similar to one another.

I do think there are certain topics I believe should be pin up topics like Critique Call Center, or Tutorials and Learning Resources as I see often people asking for critique or art tutorials. Those two topics I mention tend to get moved down in the chain fast that no one knows about those topics. I think stickied threads need a strong reason to be stickied; having six-or-so non-moving threads at the top of the forum isn’t great, especially when they’re prone to not getting regularly updated like the tools-and-tips one (that I’ve said as such before - and it’s only on 1 of the 3 pages)
I don’t think giant mega threads are great, and if the attitude is to just ignore them I don’t see the point in them existing - why have threads that are purely for seeking engagement if the majority of forum users will avoid reading it?
The better forum threads are the ones that encourage back-and-forth and present progress (either from WIP to Final piece, or artist development).
For the same reason, I think critique should be allowed to have separate threads so that it encourage feedback and present progress, rather than bunched together in a mega-thread where it’s likely ignored and forgotten.
Just looking at a few of the replies and they either receive a single response (good on those who do) or none at all. Whereas if it’s in a separate thread (like what SpicyShark tends to do) multiple users are more inclined to respond.

Got back from Kings Island a few hours ago and I had a blast! I rode a few roller coasters, ate some LaRosa’s (one of the few restaurants in the park), and won this Kuromi plush from a can knock down game.

Btw, is anyone else unable to upload their own images directly to the art forum threads? Like. I don't wanna post my WIPs as pieces in my personal profile then link them here, because they're not finished pieces yet. I thought it was a bug, but after googling around a bit I'm not sure now...

It might be a browser thing, or maybe if your internet speed isn't super great the images could have issues with uploading. If it persists, you can try the Where is/how to/ help forum, and they'll probably have more suggestions

Anybody got tips for combatting burnout? My current position is I'll soon start working on perspective art to model my characters and environments with more depth to make a short 30 chapter comic.
Am I putting too much pressure on myself to improve and create? I've only done art for two years now, and I feel like I need to get decades of experience within the span of a few months. I push myself, and have successfully done one of either drawing, writing or creation daily, but is this unhealthy? I'm very passionate about creating and training my skills, and the pressure has helped me grow swiftly, but I'm just curious if I should take longer breaks and have more faith in the quality of my work. I’m completely fine with letting creation consume a massive part of my life, since many of my idols and legendary creators do as such, I’m just wondering if I’m pushing myself too hard or not.
