Funny enough, these two were back to back.
This one failed memorably because I tried to emulate a style I had no experience with, and wound up creating something that would be just milquetoast if not for the horrible choice of lead synth. And then I submitted it to a contest.
This one, on the other hand, is just pure unfiltered Thetageist. You can understand my mind after you listen to this (from a stylistic standpoint rather than in the context of the description - I don’t drink.)

Oooo, best and worst. I have a very very hard pick for the worst, as the early stages of the 50 States series was honestly quite awful all around, but the worst would either be Vermont (bad take on a hip hop beat) or, the one I’m throwing here, Maine.
As for my best, I’d have to probably go with a recent one: Newer Hampshire. It’s musically the best I’ve done I believe, especially mixing as well.

I didn't bother reuploading this when I migrated to Newgrounds as the lyrics are nearly incomrehensable as I had no idea how to use UTAU properly.

I guess you could say my "worst" song would be the time I made a theme song for a fictional 90's cartoon about Sploot (the character by UnknownSpy). Since it's not really my style of music, and it's the first one I uploaded to Newgrounds.
My best song though would so far have to be the 90's grunge cover for the Poppy Playtime menu theme song. I don't play that game, but I know that it took place during the 90's, and I wanted to make a song that sorta centered around that 90's theme.

my worst is definitely this sing. This was the first song I made after making an attempt a year before and while I don’t really think it’s bad. It’s definitely the worst song I’ve released.
Now this was made when I had more experience so it’s easily one of my best and I’m still proud of it

I'm calling this a "song" even though it's meant to be a four-track album because it's only 3 minutes long. This is the worst thing on my account which makes sense as it was the first thing I uploaded here.
I still stand by the fact that this is my best work to date.

Seems like everyone else's worst songs in this thread are at least alright. On that note, here's an affront to music I made six and a half years ago when I had very little idea what I was doing. It has almost no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and instead has the following qualities:
Here's the track I'd currently consider my best. I think it could still do with some improving but overall I like how it turned out. Also, this wasn't intentional, but I've just noticed that this track goes in the complete opposite direction from the previous track's buildup problem by (sort of) subverting the typical dubstep buildup altogether. Make of that what you will.

This is highly subjective. And every time I make a song I think is my best work it invariably never resonates with others the same way. I will have to think about this considering my catalog is 400+ tracks deep lol

This is horrible lmao, (my first song) lame production and in sometimes the kick is offbeat even if it's a midi, but love the idea

Worst would have to go to this one. It's some really crusty brostep with some poor arrangement and sound selection choices. It just kind of goes every direction at once instead of developing a cohesive idea

Way too overbearing on the bass for what it was supposed to be. 2 different melodies on 2 different synths (each playing 3 notes, but seems like a single synth) seemingly "dancing" with each other.
