Trying this again.....

So I am making a new art thread after a long time (and a thread deletion because I forgot to add NSFW to the title). So what things do I make? Well, as a crow artist, I make things that interest me a whole lot, like animals, humans with animal traits, fantasy stories with magic and stuff, and whatever I was watching/playing/reading at that moment. Here are some examples of the art I have made:

In addition, I have two webcomics (one currently on hiatus, one slowly updating due to a busy lifestyle): Mind Your Magic and Zombies and Marshmallows.

A small warning that while most of my work is SFW, there might be some with mature subjects like gore and stuff; there's no porn though, as I believe the style I draw in doesn't really work for it.

I start out this art thread with a WIP of a chibi that I started while procrastinating. I might finish this either today or Wednesday, we'll see.

I think your character designs are really cute, which makes me worried about the gore/mature stuff you mentioned because I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to these fluffballs. Joking aside, you have a deliberately simple style that works perfectly for what you're trying to convey. I'm not a digital artist but I noticed that in the first image you posted, all of the outlines of the left character are green. As I've learned here on Newgrounds, colored outlines work best when they match the fill color. I.e. the outline of the character's arms, paws and face should be a darker shade of the brown that fills it, same for its shorts, bow, arrow etc. Ditto for the character on the right, although here it's less noticeable because of the more limited color palette.

Overall I like what you posted here. Keep drawing and good luck with your art!

Funny story about the post you just mentioned.... the lines were done like that intentionally. I did try to make them match the fill color like you said, but they A) looked ugly as sin when applied or B) in the case of the orange character, looked too similar to the fur color. I also made that piece as a wallpaper for myself, so I wanted something that I found visually pleasing and those contrasting colors are visually pleasing to me. I also associate those colors to those characters, as they are, in trope terms, a red oni/blue oni pair; to sum it up, the angel is an drunken, implusive slacker who is always looking for a fight/nice beer/one night stand, while the furry is a shy forest dweller who tries to curb the angel's more impulsive actions the best he can.

Here's an example of where I do actually use colored outlines the "intended" way, to show I can do it. It's from 2020 but I think it's a good demonstration:

That makes sense. If the artistic decisions were made intentionally, to deliberately portray a character a certain way, then that trumps aesthetic rules in my book.

Finished the flower youkai!

I decided to participate in Goretober for the first time in 3 years! Here is day 1, where I loose all my fucking teeth.

Day 2 of Goretober and we have pinata autocannibalism.

(Milo isn't actually a pinata, this is just how I chose to interpret the prompt.)

Day 3, time to give an old piece a little glow-up! Top is the new one, bottom is the old one from Goretober 2020.

Day 4, someone has left a transmorgification potion behind for Prickles to lap up

Day 6 here with one of my fursonas (Honey Kris) styled as some sort of goat god.

Day 7, looks like Lynn wasn't sewn up properly and now her guts are spilling out.

(Sorry if it looks rushed, I have work in like 30 minutes and I wanted to get it finished before then)

Day 8

Magical accidents can happen to any mage, and Milk is no different. After a mishap while mixing potions, Milk is now racing against the clock to create an antidote before he gets consumed by crystals.

Day 9, Chasan the angel is indulging in some intentional self-poisoning

Today, Day 10, Sunny gets the flower vomiting disease.

Day 11 is my worst nightmare :D
