I'm sick of seeing cishet white men be villainized simply for being cishet white men. Sure, there were most certainly shitty cishet white men throughout history, but that doesn't mean the ones of today are inherently shitty people.

The individual has to actually DO something to deserve to be villainized.

Anyway, yeah it obviously goes without saying that CHWM's don't 'deserve' to be treated any better/worse than anyone else for aspects of who they are that they don't control, but that's a pretty empty platitude if you don't bother to examine why they are targeted at all.

Truth is CHWM as a whole are the benefactors of hundreds if not thousands of years of historical atrocities against human rights. Their views on such events are irrelevent. They benefit all the same. CHWM didn't have to fight for their voting rights, they don't have to 'fight' for their identity to be recognized, they didn't have to fight for 'equal' social status, because that status was always deferred to them by default. This makes them the most protected and insulated group from social harassment. It's no less morally wrong to target a CHWM for their sex, race, identity than anyone else, but the statistical reality is that support for harassment of and the risk of harm to others outside this group is greater...by an overwhelming amount. You don't see anti-cis laws being proposed...and then passed. Conversly, the nature of the harassment is never in regards to the validity of the group itself, but always in the context of the unfair social benefits given to this group.

That doesn't justify it by any means, nor does it excuse it. It explains it. This is where it comes from. This is why it happens.

I watched this video and it's pretty silly. It's literally just him showing a montage of people on TikTok saying racist stuff and using this as evidence that there is somehow a systemically racist attack on white people.

Thing is, if you need to actively go searching out for reasons to believe you're the victim of systemic racism, you're probably not the victim of systemic racism. People of colour don't need to be shown redpill-style videos about how they're victims of racism, they already know it lmao

Having to go out of your way to search for it or not, the fact that there are so many videos of people "speaking out" is a sign that it's happening, and it's a hypocritical double-standard that should be addressed rather than dismissed as something that one finds when looking for drama.

Well, to me he very heavily implied he was making a case for systemic racism, but whatever, maybe my interpretation is off.

Aside from that I actually agree with the rest of the video's message. Yes, white people are occasionally victims of racism, and yes, there is a double standard to it. But as others have said it is very uncommon, and funnily enough, is often done by POCs who are quite privileged and haven't actually faced as much discrimination as the average member of their group probably does. I imagine most poor POCs are too busy busting their balls to make some shitty woke TikTok video about how white people have no culture or whatever; just as most poor white people don't have time to be fighting for socialism on their Twitch streams.

Indeed I do. Police brutality is a huge issue in general that comes in more forms than just racism. In fact, black cops can perpetuate systemic racism without even knowing it.

I'm gonna have to whip out same basic statistics in respect to racial population size:

Blacks are 2.5 more likely to be poorer than whites. 2.5 more likely to go to prison than whites. In fact, you won't be able to find any statistic where whites, in general, are worse off than blacks unless you pick and choose irrelevant comparisons.

A big reasons for this is that the majority of banks, businesses, and state/government legislature, is controlled by the apex predators in our society, the wealthy rich, the 5%, who control about 60% of the the wealth in the country. And many in it want to keep it that way by keeping people focused on their cultural superiority to other groups, which has been the sad story since the days of slavery (and possibly further back).

Sure here in my country or Europe in general there's discussions about these race related topics too but usually it's more or less restricted to reports about that stuff happening in the USA, or detached ivory tower issues that don't have an actual impact in real life. And the people who care about these issues(to the extent it seems to happen in the USA) are usually restricted to comments sections and OP eds in fringe publications.

At least that's my impression, I've hardly ever ran into these issues in real life and my workplace is actually quite diverse with people from all over the world working there, and no one gives a shit about this stuff there.
