My character Dominique, Dom for short! Both appearances here are the same character.
The normal one is... tired, ambivalent, going-through-the-motions. Things happened to her (like her mother stealing her college money and blaming Dom for spending all her cash irresponsibly)
Now Dom is the type to put crisps on her sandwich because she's stopped caring about proper nourishment. Or a lot of things, really.
Though in her story, people she meets are helping her to put more effort and interest in things, so there's bits of her trying out to be better with cooking and self care.
The goth appearance of her is more formal, attentive and a bit uptight. Not a case of different personalities, but for Dom the gothic alter ego is something she cares more about than who she currently is.
It is also partially through roleplay with this gothic self that she learns and maintains more skills, including aforementioned cooking, but also stuff like trying out different music instruments, sewing & learning about things. Other people here are of great importance in achieving that & want to see her start utilizing these skills in normal everyday life.
That said, Dom starts venturing too deep in wanting to be that goth version forever & killing off her old life. Others she gets to know, notice this too and worry about her.
In her dreams, her goth alter ego has appeared a few times in an angry and indignant way that Dom considers this path. It's an unhealthy extreme and not very balanced. So for Dom, the journey is to learn to develop a life worth living as a person worth loving, not escaping into a role or a fantasy.
(And a way that is done, is by some new friends gifting her a persimmon tree to take care of. Persimmons are her favourite fruit.)

It hadn't occurred to me that I hadn't drawn Cinnamon in full color in THREE YEARS until it took me so long to find a drawing. It's so old, this design isn't even that accurate anymore (although the colors are).
As for her alter ego (who is Sugar Heart lol), this fit in SC6 inspired the whole thing.
