I think about death & decay a lot...probably too much for my own good. This piece is an expression of that tendency. Done in charcoal pencil, & ink with technical pens.

I don't think it's very good, but at the same time, don't think it's irredeemably bad either.
Try starting off in pencil, & sketch in the basic shapes first. The glass part is mostly round while the socket is a cylinder just below it...the orange filament fits in a cylinder, too. Do that & then refine the drawing, & you'll have a better result.
