Wilson, Keppel and Betty was a vaudeville act active between1928–1962 touring the world. (Jack) Wilson and (Joe) Keppel where the same performers throughout the run. The original Betty (Betty Knox) was part of the act up to 1941 when she retired from the act to become a journalist. She was a war correspondent during WW2. She was replaced in the act by her daughter Patsy Knox, who was in the act until 1950. There where a number of other "Bettys" for the rest of the time and for single stand in performances. The last Betty was Jean McKinnon, who took over in 1956.
The act was a dance performance based on old Egypt paintings and the interest in old Egypt sparked by the finding of Tutankhamun's mummie. The act relied to a large part on Wilson and Keppel's extremly lanky body build, their flexibility and a deadpan delivery.
Minister of Propaganda Goebbels hated the act.

Former fan of the general forums. Artist, Twitter hater, loser, bad poet.
I had YT on in the background and a video of (the late) Neal Adams teaching a group of art students on inking comics, using one of his own penciled pages in blue lines as an example to work on.
This inspired me to find a page (cover) penciled by Adams, and ink and then color it.
I then did some detective work to find what the actual finished page looked like.
Neal Adams pencils
My ink and colors
Actual cover # 49 2016 Detective Comics (alternative cover)
Ink Brent Anderson, color Laura Martin
Really easy and fun to ink over such tightly penciled art. Though I did one change; shortening Harley's upper body.
And I misunderstood a couple of details.
All in all, I'm quit happy with how it came out. I might do this again with a page of some other great comic book artist.

A second inking coloring over one of comic book greats pencils. This time I found a pencil work by John Romita sr.
So this is the penciled page
This is my ink and color
I looked for the finished page and could not find it. That might be because there is none. This might only be a sketch that was not used to make an actual cover.
If so one reason that it was not used could be that the two characters are of different sizes. When you have a team-up of two comic book heroes depicted on a cover they will generally be of an equal size. The idea probably being that you want to showcase both heroes on the cover.
Here is an actual cover with the same two heroes in a similar situation.
Both heroes getting about the same amount of show-casing.
---
A detail in the pencil art I found interesting is Spidey's head.
It looks like the head is pasted on. Romita might have had a set of heads on a photocopied page to cut and paste on for consistency.
My guess. Might be wrong, but a professional artist will find the short-cuts that will the work easier.
Today, with digital art, a thing like that would be so much easier to do.

Third inking of great comic book artists pencils. This time Jack Kirby.
original pencils
My ink and colors
So the main character is Bullseye and the sitting character probably is Deadeye, his old timer mentor.
The character is from Kirby and Simons short lived Mainline publication.
Looking for a finished page for comparison i did not find anything colored.
I found an inked page with inks by John Severin - a comic book legend in himself.
I was not previously familiar with this character, so here is a cover image to see what the actual colors where
So color-wise I did get just about everything wrong.
It also seems like he should have had a shirt.
Still I'm not unhappy with my choices. 🙂

Did a quick drawing of the hosts.
On the off chance there are some people with refined cultural taste around, I will point those people this way
