Maybe some kind of boost for the lesser popular artists, like a bot that randomly selects an art piece or other media made the day before with 100 views or less and puts it on the front page? id be 100% random to give everyone a fair chance.

Seconding this for audio. I think at some point artists with a large audience will get ample attention already, even without a frontpage.
I have recently posted my Kriss Vector project that I have been working on for 4 weeks. Just discovered this thread, didn't know that something like this exists. I think it is front page worthy because I put a lot of heart into it :). Thank you
