Yes, albeit if it is obviously stolen, it is getting removed.

Read above, I've seen a few flags that just say "this needs to be removed" without saying why and after triple checking the content flagged could not see why it needed to be removed.

Which means you need to show proof that it is stolen.
Because simply saying that to remove it without any proof is unreasonable huh.

I'm pretty sure the song was uploaded by the original creator, Whitewoods, that goes by the alias BugYourParents on both YouTube, Soundcloud, and Twitter, and the original uploader of the song Whitewoods - Beachwalk. Did you guys mistake him for uploading a song that didn't seem right because of the different artist names, or was the creator found to be an imposter of Whitewoods? I wasn't able to find the Audio Portal Cleanup post regarding the removal of this song. Any explanation is much appreciated!

Just because it is a low quality remix / cover, does not mean it needs to be removed.

It's not that I have an issue with. It is that it sounds like it used another person's midi and then the "author" added a square synth. Isn't that not allowed?

The guy steals his music from loops. Which means he doesn't really make music, he just take some loops from a software and make people believe he did it.
The only problem is I have no proof, it's just an evidence considering the ultra-harsh transitions (one loop to an another), and the fact he made this, and then 20 days later (and not 28 Days Later) this. He just discovered the software during those 20 days.
Also, I saw in Stardust's author comments that he was using some loop software, but he changed the author comments soon after its release. I don't know if you have the power, being a moderator, to see former author comments, but if you have it, well you should try.
I know it's bad to denounce, but this guy makes me mad every time he releases a new track and say he made it. Because I know he didn't, but I can't prove it anymore.

Edit : gah he reuploaded the track to change the author comments so we won't see his former one...

Just a quick question.

Our cover of "Mad World" (ID 702635) is gone but we do have this: ERROR — This audio was removed by the Newgrounds moderation team.

It's not for sale so no mech licence required, we didn't use any copyrighted samples in production and gave full credit to the original artists. What was the problem?
