Just because people don't make sigs, it doesnt make it as though they can't give an opinion on them.
If anything, the opinions of those who don't make them is more valuable, as the majority of people don't make them, and its all about your appeal to those who don't know how to make them. Who gives a shit how much effort you put into a sig, if it isn't appealing, its a piece of crap.
The only reason opinions of those who make sigs is more important is because they can give you hints on where to improve, what to tone down, how to grasp effects better, etc.
Look at my sigs (click sig pic), in my opinion, they are all pieces of shit (well, except for maybe two or three of them), but others like them, and thats what matters.
Also, joke sigs > artistic shit.
