Just to drop my opinion in...Power beats the hell out of Death. Now that I think about it, I haven't heard 1 good death or black metal song in my entire 7 years as a metal head. (Ok, it's probably cause I try to steer clear from that kind of stuff in the first place, but that would depend whether Viking Metal counts as death or folk, I don't know)
By the way, new! I'll be posting weekly reviews on any album or single I happen to buy.

Description:
Another album from the German Power Metal Gods Axel Rudi Pell. Their latest release (well, in September there's a new album out called Diamonds Unlocked) Mystica, delivered some of fast paced, keayboard heavy Power Metal songs, with a lot of more Classic Rock feeling near-ballads. With dynamic vocals by Johnny Gioeli, with Axel's guitar playing and Mike's drumming, with Fly To the Moon featuring a bass solo by Volker Krezwalk (can't spell the names for shite) and the supporting kewyboards of Ferdy Dorenburg (sp, again) Mystica is an epic win in the face of power metal.
What brings this album down, however is the real lack of power metal songs, there's about 3 in the album, the rest are the slow-paced Classic Rock songs Axel is becoming known for. They're not bad, just not as good.
Verdict:
Mystica is a dynamic release, just don't buy it if you're a total guitar nut.
