I don't know about deep scratches, but washing the cd usually works for minor scratches

So, the new Symphony X album called Paradise Lost was good. Heavier than before, not as many ballads. I still prefer Divine Wings of Tragedy and The Oddysey to this. I probably need to listen to it more to get a real opinion.
