Burn My Eyes was Godly.

Album with the least influences of Nu-Metal or Metalcore.

Now The Blackening is just as Godly.

It is ok. It would be better without the Metalcore influences.

Yes. But he's still a good guitarist and vocalist. For me, It's that you have a good voice and can play an insturment really, really well to be good in metal. But if you have long hair, that is damn right awesome. Just check out John Tardy's (Obituary) hair. http://www.metal-impact.com/modules/Interview s/images/obituary_11-04.jpg . SIMPILY AWESOME.

And by the way, we listen to all time periods of metal as far as I know. Even the elder.

Yah. I really love the old thrash such as Testament, Exodus, Nuclear Assault, etc and the old death metal such as Death, Obituary, Vomitory, Unleashed, Deicide, (old) Cannibal Corpse, Immolation, Incantation, Grave, etc

I love music, and my favorite music of all time is Metal.

My favorite bands consist of Necrophagist, Death, Anata, Atheist, Bloodbath, Carcass, Carcariass, Cryptopsy, Cynic, Decapitated, Emperor, etc.

To see more bands I listen to check out my last.fm profile.

Yeah...anywho...I'm rather bored.

Thanks.

I am a Death Metal vocalist too.

Currently in search of a band in the Tri-state area of New York and New Jersey.

I've been a member of NewGrounds for some time now and got so bored that I decided to check up on the forums.

So, did anyone here AngelCorpse's new album yet?

I practice on Necrophagist songs so I suppose that deep, if not deeper.

I also don't really growl around people when they ask me to, I usually just growl when listening to music (and I of course know the lyrics).

If you want, you could check out a video of me acting stupid, along with some pals of mine, and I growl a bit (though not even trying). Some say it sounds good. I think it's weak, and I know I could do better due to the fact that I wasn't trying.

Yeah, you can judge, I don't mind.
I like honest opions on my growls that were complete wank.

Next time I should record myself trying.

Yes, you are very welcome. We didn't have any good applicants for quite some time.

Not yet, but is it good? I'm low on download value this month so I've got to wait 'till may.

I'm also waiting for the upcoming Malevolent Creation and Behemoth albums.

Btw, Charon, I tried Lurker of Chalice since you recommened them to me, but to be honest, they were flat out boring and I even like some ambient.

That was cool, I'd like to see you trying, does it just come natural to you?

I can't growl for shit, i sound like a total douche,because I'm 15, and I don't have a very deep voice.

I can sing though, I do backing vocals for my band, I think I sound a bit like that guy from HIM, Ville something.

And i can do thrash metal vocals too.

I didn't mind the Metalcore influences there since it didn't sound too metalcore-ish to me.

The Breakdowns made the album less godly aswell as the lyrics, and whiney vocals. It's still better than other releases though.

I've been a big fan of Porcupine Tree since the 90's and think Steve Wilson is a damn genious.
Btw have you heard the new Porcupine Tree disc and if so how is it?

its a really good album, very consistent. its quite a bit more metal-influenced than previous albums, and with less poppy moments than deadwing had thankfully. theres a nice 17 minute epic with some really cool instrumental bits in aswell.

go on then nev, just a quick one!

i need some opinions on this band (maybe even from the horsemen). on my...application (?) to metal hell i listed the band Machiae Supremacy. i stopped lisenting to them for awhile and really hit the old school metal stuff, then i started to listen to Machiae again, and man did it sound different from before. i mean i still like them and will continue to listen, and they are listed as a type of metal (even by other metal heads i know) but i dont know if i could call it metal myself. It's listed as SID metal (they use a lot of video games sounds and some techno) but i'd say it's more on the border line of metal. so i figured you guys might know.
here are some links:

Rise
Sidstyler
Fury
Attack Music
Dreadnaught & Lava Bubble Trouble

It's some type of synthesizer that accepts sound chips methinks.

And Machinae are rather awesome. I've been listening for awhile now, although not very actively.

yeah. redeemer is an awesome album. well i'll take the horseman's word for it. never thought of them as power metal though...
