The phrase "God has a plan" is just what creeps me out. I like to think I'm in control of my life and it's not a pre-determined plan.
Just think of it this way. They say God has a plan, and knows everything. That every step of humanity taken is pre planned and written by God.
By that logic, God is the one who made sure heros and saints were born. But by the same logic, he planned and knew, every evil person, thing, event, disease, and disaster as well.
The only reason to justify why God would put these terrible awful things in the world, is for us to individually face, and conquer. To find our redemption and earn our way to God's heart. If he knew exactly how an when and made sure you did conquer, what would be the point of even making sure bad things existed? And what would be his reason to make sure people would never be able to pass the obstacles?
People use the phrase either as anti abortion arguments, that you cant take away a life that God has written for to do something with their life, as if God couldnt also see the premature death of it, as well as to give people hope's that something bad in their life will have eventual meaning and a happy ending.
It gives people a reason to feel significant, to be apart of a big picture beyond just thriving in the world. So I'm pretty sure you have complete control and free will, unless God is a fucking moron who doesnt know what he wants.
All benefit of the doubt he exists ^____^
