i used to like metal storm, then they stopped doing their compilations each month, which did have a good few bands in there, for example from there i found out about Korpiklaani and a few others, also their reviews of bands which are in the side roads of mainstream (rather then central mainstream or underground) helped me pick different music to buy etc. think of metal storm as a beginners guide and from that only the most open minded and enlightened individuals can progress.

also today as bought me several new CD's Rotting Christ: Non Serviam, Poccolus (self titled), Nahash: Wellone Aeternitas, Sunn o))) Black One, and Isengard: Vinterskugge
