I dont think that's fair to judge. Some people can like nu metal and metal, metalcore and metal, shitty metal and good metal, other non metal genres and metal.
No one is really obligued to always dump the 'older/starting point/ nu metal' shit as they progress into better or harder/truer metal.

Hello once again. I took a month-or-something break from Newgrounds lately. And here's what happened.
I matured.
I'm freaking out. I'm not laughing at toilet humor, I'm caring about people...
Weird.
I no longer have Black Metal stuff just as a pose to look hardcore. About two weeks ago I left Deicide playing and Dimmu Borgir came on. I was about to skip it to something else, but then I decided to keep listening.
Black Metal is now my favourite genre with Dimmu Borgir very high on the list.
It's been an interesting holiday for me...

I wouldn't say Dimmu are a disgrace to black metal, just like I wouldn't say Aerosmith are a disgrace to metal. It's just a progression of sound that may be in the wrong direction as far as the average metaller is concerned. Because there's no doubt recent Dimmu is far more 'poppy' than old Dimmu.
And you should start posting in general like you used to. Mainly because it's shit and it would be better if there were more decent vets.

yes it is quite a mix of genres. i listen to most types of metal. Also i seem to have forgotten the d at the end of God Dethroned. but anyway i do listen to all those bands and i have cds from half the bands i listed.
