No luck with Tyr which sucks because I hear they're good. All the other bands are good though. Korpiklaani and Windir really stand out. Folk metal is so much more upbeat then Death metal. It's weird.

Children of Bodom.

If you make a list of bands that consist of those bands only, unless it's it's more than 7/8 metal, we will be very hesitant to let you in. So just a heads up, and a neat, clear way of phrasing it: THOSE BANDS WILL NOT GET YOU IN SOLELY. YOU MUST HAVE OTHER METAL BANDS THAN THOSE.

I agree with those. Maiden (who I've repeatedly said I don't like) are metal, and most of the metalcorers I know (many) don't like Maiden and/or don't even know who they are. Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Children of Bodom are deffinatly liked and loved by mallcore kids. Dimmu is just liked by all the gothic kids who think Dir en Gray are metal.

Yeah, true. It's just that they're so popular among numetallers that they are no indicator that said person is knowledgeable or even INTO metal... At least we can give them a chance by saying "Come back with no numetal/metalcore bands on your list"

SOAS Tyr's download has finished and this is my opinion...I HATE THE VOCALS! The music is outstanding though. It's all about the vocals though.
