I only like Death Cult Armageddon, cause they've finally given up trying to be black metal on that album

I don't mind Death Cult Armageddon or Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia.
I've got both of those and Enthrone Darkness Triumphant. I'm starting to like them. I guess it's an acquired taste.

I recently listened to some of their music and I think they're very good. I'll try and get one of their CDs next time I go shopping. Not very sure which one to get, but maybe I since from what I've heard, it's a very good song, although the I EP has only one track. :|

Personally I don't like Meshuggah that much, but I do however respect them a lot. I think they are very talented for being able to make those off time math metal beats and all that. On another note, Cryptopsy is fuckin god, if you're just getting into them listen to the song Cold Hate, Warm Blood off of Whisper Supremacy.

pretty heavy, I listen to it occasionally
The Dillinger Escape Pan?
sounds like a failed version of punk, pretty fucking gay
Into the Moat?

Fucking sick as. Two favourite CD's would have to be Contradictions Collapse and Nothing.
The Dillinger Escape Pan?
Likewise. Except they fucked up with Miss Machine. Calculating Infinity, Under The Running Board and Irony (with mike patton) are fucking sweet.
Into the Moat?
Tech Death with breakdowns? Yes fucking please. I don't think the rest of Metal Hell would appreciate them though ;)
Cryptopsy?
Good, apart from anything they did with Lord Worm. Including the new CD.

About them... I think they haven't made anything worthwhile since 1996.
It's either been pretentious (see Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, Spiritual Black Dimensions, Death Cult Armaggeddon) or pointless (see PEM, Godless Savage Garden, Stormblaast 2005).
I still maintain there was no concievable reason to re-record Stormblaast. The original works quite fine. And, in fact, the "br00tal" production of the newer one works against it. Why? The original had this passionate yet gentle, almost cheesy, sorrowful, sing-song pattern to it; making it "br00tal" only contradicts the original message.
And my favorite is still For All Tid, because that's when their lyrics were more about nature and beauty rather than the pompous satan lyrics and the "Look at how big my vocabulary is" lyrics. Plus, For All Tid is their most melodic work, and epic too.
At 9/1/06 07:01 PM, Jombo wrote: "I" is still really good even if it is just one song. You should get that plus Catch 33, Chaosphere, Destroy Erase Improve, all of them really. :)
I was thinking of getting Destroy Erase Improve and I, then maybe get Nothing and Catch33 whenever I want to get more of their albums.
I also heard that Meshuggah were doing a remix album of Nothing plus a dvd with it. I heard it's coming out in October.
Meh, I won't be interested in that. I prefer just original versions of the songs and no remixes (maybe live if it's good). I do have the remix version of Fear Factory's Demanufacture and I thought it sucked.

They're alright, but only Death Cult Armageddon and Purtanic Euphoric Misanthropia were good.

You don't listen to Metal. You think you do, but Disturbed and KoRn aren't metal. So ye no belong here.
I'm possibly going to see Venom and Goatwhore tommorow not sure if I should go should I shell out 30 bucks for it?

yeah i no... i like rock but i like to understand wat they r saying on the songs , on heavy metal stuff like mudvayne u cant even understand wat their saying, so yeah i am not a big heavy metal fan, disturbed, papa roach, avenegd sevenfold, ect are the stuff i am into so i guess i dont belong here cuz the stuff i like isnt heavy enough, but what is the point of listening to music if u dont even no what their saying and it doesnt even sound good?
