I actually agree. Tool are total mallcore. Remember, Mallcore isn't a musical style. It's rather music mall kiddies listen to. And yes, Pantera became total nu-metal. In the 80's they rawkked, but now they suck. I am not much of a prog metal fan, simply by ignorance, not by taste, but Tool are NOT prog metal. They're barely even metal.

I can honestly tell you that around here, Tool is just another name on the mallgoths list of shitty music. Their considered just as "awesome!" as Slipknot, and Trivium. Most of the local ICP fans listen to them too. It's because of this that I've never given Tool a chance. But since so many people are talking about them I might check them out.

And Ghoul, Pantera never turned nu-metal at all. They turned mainstream, yes, but they have always been groove metal since around Vulgar Display Of Power.
