Cool, I picked up some new CDs at F.Y.E. It's surprising, they actually have a decent selection of metal, actually, music in general.
Watershed - Opeth
Strapping Young Lad - Strapping Young Lad
Scream Bloody Gore - Death
I also got an Opeth t-shirt at Hot Topic. God, I hate that place, my t-shirt was one of the few good things in that hipster store, but my girlfriend wanted to check it out, so I tagged along. I'm wearing it right now.

wish me luck.
I did the same thing today. I got all 200 some GB done. But the power went out during a storm and I hadn't moved all the program files from my external hard drive to my new computer. Most importantly the keyboard. So I'm posting from my PS3. I'm going to get a cheap keyboard today. And new speakers. Huzzah.

I don't. I stopped complaining about metalness ages ago. Whether there's too much metal, too little metal, it doesn't matter to me as long as the music's enjoyable.

I have to admit, the only song of theirs I've heard is Helloween's Halloween cover. :(

He's probably just trying to impress someone by saying that. I'd ignore anything he says.
With some decent studiovocals, this is probably not bad.
Any one seen any good movies lately? I just watched the new Rambo it was fucking epic!

The Terror.
I seen it ages ago, though.
It doesn't make any sense whatsoever, and it isn't scary (I only jumped at one or two bits), but I still loved it.

Shit, double post. Big Lebowski is definitely one of my favorites, have you seen Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang or The Ice Harvest?
?
cornbin, you are about 3 years late for the submission ;)
Holy shit, the last Zephyrous album (good Greek band) is the weirdest thing I have heard in a long long time. While their early stuff was somewhat avantgarde-ish black metal, this is a mix of traditional Greek folk, a tiny little bit of black metal and even lounge music/jazz. Completely fucked up stuff.

"Towards..."?
That album... well its their only one.

Yeah, "Towards..." but no, "Wandering on the Seven Zones..." is generally regarded as a full-length, but certain sources insist that it's "just a demo". For me it has everything a fully-produced LP has, so I consider their debut an album (it's quite great too).

Fair enough, I was just going off MA.
I was actually interested in this album but I couldn't find a torrent :(.

*cough* *cough* google the band name & title + blogspot *cough*
Although I have to say after finishing I really am quite disappointed - original? Yes, but not well executed in the end. I just wrote a review for it on MA.

a review after listening once?

No, I have heard the the first five or six songs off it a few times on my MP3-player but never managed to finish the album due to other things. I'd say I've heard the first few about five or six times and only the last few once - I don't intend to listen to them again for a while. I really didn't like them much. I feel I can judge the album accordingly, though.

The Big Lebowski is one of my favorites again. My friends and i love to quote it. I haven't seen Kiss Kiss... or the Ice harvest, but I've been interested in the Ice Harvest. There was a preview for it (oddly enough, on the dvd of the big lebowski i rented) but I haven't heard anything about it. is it any good?
On the topic of movies, I'm about to watch the Unbearable Lightness of Being, which stars Daniel Day-Lewis. I've never seen it before.

You said you saw Bloodlust, right? That was really good. You should see the other one, too. I thought it was good.
and Ninja Scroll.
overrated, but pretty entertaining

That movie is insane.
You know the chick with the whip in Tom Yum Goong (the Protector)? Apparently, she's a dude.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of my favorite movies. I thought the Ice Harvest was okay.

Go watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It's one of the best dark comedies ever made.
If you like the Big Lebowski, you should see the other comedies the Coen brothers have made. Fargo, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Raising Arizona are all great. Actually, just see all of their movies (you can skip Ladykillers since it was probably their only mediocore film). I think the best film they ever made was Miller's Crossing. That movie is brilliant. The only film of theirs I still haven't seen is Barton Fink.
Damnit, the Cinema Club is too fucking inactive,

I actually plan on seeing all of the Coen bros. movies. I've already seen The Big Lebowski (obvs) and Raising Arizona. I'm kind of lazy when it comes to movies, though. I like watching movies, but I don't do it often.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. I'm a big Billy Bob Thornton fan and I like John Cusack so I expected it to be at very least enjoyable going in and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. There's a lot of twists and turns and some sparse yet finely tuned dark humor and it possesses that same sense of a somewhat normal guy getting in way over his head that Big Lebowski and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang have. Also all of these bad things happen to the main character at around christmas time, so the imagery sort of gives the whole movie an amplified sense of irony. It's a great film.
And while I'm going, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang I definitely recommend as well and even moreso than Ice Harvest because while Ice Harvest is great it's definitely a lot more focused on the crime drama aspect which is great in it's own context but Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is a lot more charming and witty, and leans a lot more to the comedy side of things which wins it over for me. Robert Downey Jr, and Val Kilmer are like a perfect pair in it and I'd say that it was on par with Big Lebowski.
?

I've only seen him in There Will Be Blood and Gangs of New York, both great movies though I have to say There Will Be Blood pulled me in a lot better and for probably obvious reasons.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of my favorite movies.
It's one of mine too, no doubt about it.

Dammit, you beat me to the recommendation while I was typing it.

I noticed it a few days ago but decided not to post for that exact reason. I wish it was more active though, I'm constantly watching movies and usually never have anyone to talk with about them unless I see them in the theater with friends.
