Not so much that their music has any tune, its the whole image and power of their music. The concert was incredible.

I think I just found the most generic Power Metal band ever.

That wasn't an attack on Slipknot. It's just stating that Rap, Nu, Whatever Metal isn't Metal by our standards.

yeah. theres still a lot of good stuff going on tho, although not really in britain. iron monkey were one of our few good sludge bands. and with doom even tho we have bands like the amazing electric wizard theyre such lazy bastards that they never tour.

I know it's kind or hard to understand, but rap, nu, metalcore and alternative are so heavily influenced by other genres that they aren't really considered "metal" by almost all metal circles, as well as the metal-archives (more or less our, albeit flawed, guideline to genres). It's hard to really get someone to understand this unless they're open-minded and willing to change their long-held opinions, a quality that many people lack, myself included. However, despite your like of Slipknot, I support your being in the Hell, due to your otherwise good taste in metal.

sirtom's taste in metal is solid (as stoner/sludge is my favorite genre), despite the listing of slipknot.
