I don't know of any in Australia though unless you count Horde.

We have Nocturnal Graves, Destroyer 666, Gospel of the Horns and Destruktor though.

Yeah, Aborted are pretty awesome brutal death metal and they're from Belgium. It was sort of hard to take them seriously after I figured that out.

As a bonus, the Greek black metal scene is also really good, with Rotting Christ, Agatus, and Zemial being prime examples

The Swiss have Celtic Frost one of the most influential bands in Black/Thrash Metal.

And one of my new favourites, Mirrorthrone.

So im probably gonna buy tickets to go see Testament. $60 is reasonable to see the only decent thrash band thats gonna be here in a long time, plus Anarchsphere and Mortal Sin. Sounds pretty win to me.
