Anyone from Newgrounds coming to Graspop in Belgium this year? I thought I'd ask because it happens this weekend and I thought it would be cool to see if someone from here will come =]

Just getting ready to depart, actually. looking forward to getting there again.
Oh yeah, I got Symphony X's Divine Wings of Tragedy yesterday. About time I got myself another Symphony X album and I'm really impressed at this. I should pick up their other albums soon, so it's either V: The New Mythology Suite or Paradise Lost next.
I hope Sense-Offender is happy. :)

So there will be an Iron Maiden tribute album. I´m not familiar with half of the bands that are making songs for it, but the only ones i´m really interested in are Metallica and Dream Theater.
I know this is Kerrang, but Trivium have covered a Maiden song here? Shit! I can only name three bands on the track list that I enjoy. *sigh* Hopefully I can get a few of those tracks rather than the whole album.

I'm not sure about them since I've still yet to listen to them, but the rest of the bands you mentioned are great! :)

Oh god no. Please no. Avenged Sevenfold?
This is going to be terrible. Half of those bands don't even have Metal influences let alone come under the genre.
01, Black Tide - Prowler
02, Metallica - Remember Tomorrow
03, Avenged Sevenfold - Flash Of The Blade
04, Glamour Of The Kill - 2 Minutes To Midnight
05, Coheed And Cambria - The Trooper
06, Devildriver - Wasted Years
07, Sign - Run To The Hills
08, Dream Theater - To Tame A Land
09, Madina Lake - Caught Somewhere In Time
10, Gallows - Wrathchild
11, Fightstar - Fear Of The Dark
12, Machine Head - Hallowed Be Thy Name
13, Trivium - Iron Maiden
14, Year Long Disaster - Running Free
15, Ghostlines - Brave New World
WTF?
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

I here they're not as bad as the 'Ex-Buster member' argument suggests.
Buckethead is Metal.
Just in the same way Patton is accepted here.
They both do things that aren't Metal. But they both do stuff that is too.

I can't agree or disagree, I've never heard them. But either way I have immense respect for Charlie. He could have carried on Busted and carried on earning loads of money and getting loads of underage vag (which I'm sure he declined). But he didn't. He quit because it was creativey inept to him.
Kudos to the man.

Im sure loads of his old fans bought the new album though. Or downloaded it at least :/
Anyway Nev what kind of Metal you into?

I'm sure they didn't.
Think about it... Busted fans. They may have been to the year 3000 but liking Prog Metal (or at least with influences of PM) is too much for me to to believe.

Compound.

Pretty good death metal right there. Real old school sound.

I was just wondering does anybody here like Primus. It's not exactly metal but ive become interested in them
So I got like five CDs for my birthday.
The only one relevant to metal is The Ocean's "Precambrian." I have yet to listen but it looks promising.
I also got
Porcupine Tree - "The Sky Moves Sideways"
Animal Collective - "Feels"
Sigur Ros - "Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust" (yeah i like sigur ros, fuck you)
and a compilation CD of Sonny Rollins

Hopefully it won't be as bad as the FFAF cover of Damage, Inc. was.
If any Germanic (or Austrian) members of the Hell would be willing to help me out on an essay on Vienna I have to do for German class, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cool stuff, Porcupine Tree rules.

I didn't know that they released a new one recently.
I just got the Burzum Anthology. It's pretty weird, and I don't listen to much black metal. Varg has an awesome voice though, it sends chills down my spine.

Is it true that Les Claypool auditioned for Metallica, but they didn´t let him join because he was too good?

I wouldn't say he's better. And even if he is only by a little bit. They should have a bass battle.
