I don't like most of their stuff, yet they are metal.

Despite being on Roadrunner Dream Theater's new album is easily one of their best albums.

And the bands that Roadrunner ruin weren't actually that good in the first place. Except Opeth, although I believe they've been going downhill since Blackwater Park anyway.

I'm just throwing it out there.

Took this chick I know out to dinner at Spenger's last night. She turned out to be a total zero, talking about nothing but herself half the time and yakking on her cell phone the other half. I probably could've screwed her considering how much wine she drank beforehand, but I decided that a good night of sex wasn't worth spending any more time with her than I had to.

Metal archives lists them as extreme gothic metal, I just call them mallcore.

You could've taken her home and drawn on her with a big marker.

I listened to mushroom heads cover finally. Nothing exciting. The exact same as metallica's except for the fact the vocals blew and metallica's was more epic.

One of the weirder moments of my week so far: i was in the car with my friend and his dad, who was driving us back from school. There was this car in the lane next to us, with a pretty blonde and some other people (i didn't look at them). The blonde was in the the passenger seat, so she could see me clearly. Somehow she caught me looking at me and stared at me back. then in traffic they got behind us, but when they passed me she flashed me the peace sign

it was a very odd expirience

and on the subject of metal, i think some pretty girl who happens to listen to metal is taking a fancy to me.

Got the gear, got the gas, got compression. My direction is cast to the concrete.

good idea yes

i'm assuming it will be acoustic? unless you plan on getting a bunch of wiring hooked up inside to make an electric.

yeah for electric. if it was acoustic it would sound horrible (if at all). acoustic works on resonance frequencies of the tones through the wood and strings. metal doesnt have a good resonance frequency formusic (unless you count percussion instruments).

what about resonator guitars, though? those are metal (literally, not figuratively)

I don't like pantera. In fact, I think them and nickelbag (see wut I did thar) are extremely overrated and deserve .1% of the praise they get. Fuck I'm sick and tired of pantera fanboys.

There was a thread I saw a while back about Guitar Hero 2 that said "Why is there a Dimebag Darrel achievement? How do you get it by making it through a gig without being shot in the face?" and I thought that was hilarious. The guy who wrote it even said he liked Pantera and he was just kidding, but he got flamed by a bunch of fags.

a quick question aimed primarily at stratovarius fans but can be answered by anyone, do these songs sound painfully similar

the first is

Hunting High - Freedom Call
compared to
Hunting High and Low - Stratovarius
