So, I was in bed watching Borat... happily minding my own business when something black rushes past my chest. Naturally I assume this to be a spider and I get out of bed as fast as possible, hit the lights (lol Metallica song) and then begin to search for thing.

After some searching I found nothing, and just then I turned to see the biggest fucking thing ever (in terms of my bedroom) on my wall. I'm actually looking over my shoulder now to make sure it doesn't escape.

Ok fine, the vocals are drab, the guitar is uninspired, and they suffer from a lack of background. Where is the ideology between their music? You can't base your music on something you find vaguely cool.
Really now, they just seem confused as to what they want to convey in their music, half seems based in vikings, some is based in folk songs, and the rest is just idiotic. At the very least it would be nice if they'd choose a language to sing in, instead of switching between some VERY boring english, and the admittedly catchy Faroes.(which really isn't used enough, but even if it were, isn't enough to redeem them.)

That's exactly why I hate goregrind. Why can't everything be melodic? Why is there death metal? Why have the gods allowed such unmusical music to thrive?

Anyway, this song is the best song by genesis. (not metal :P SUE ME) Its all good until you get into the chorus then it gets gay, but the verse and intro is awesome.

Really now, they just seem confused as to what they want to convey in their music, half seems based in vikings, some is based in folk songs, and the rest is just idiotic.

I'm not sure what you're really trying to say here. Are you saying that a band should only convey one topic in their music? There's nothing wrong with singing about vikings in one song, doing some folk in another, and then doing whatever you call "idiotic" (i can't remember any songs by them being anything other than folk stories or vikings).

In conclusion, i will say two things: one, it's alright to have an opinion, and i'm glad you went the extra step and actually stated your reasons for your dislikes, rather than just being a cunt. two, there's a reason why Týr are my most listened to metal band.
