Been a fan of Rob Zombie since I met him back in 88.
Why?! Why do you get to do everything!!?? WHAAAAAAAA!! Damn what have'nt you got to do?

My mom doesn't understand, but she supports my interests. I come home and she'll be like, oh how was your show down thingy majiggy?
an im just like OH MAN, MOM I WAS IN THE PIT AND SOME GUY FUCKING PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE AND IT WAS SO AWESOME, AND CHECK OUT MY NEW SCAR, THEN WE GOT DRUNK AND STOLE SOME SIGNS.
And she's just like, How can you say these things as if they were positives? But she doesn't bother really questioning it. I think she gave up on me with the whole being weird thing ata very young age.

La Sexorcisto is frigging awesome. I prefer to Astrocreep, but Rob's first album Hillbilly Deluxe is pretty cool.
Here I am, bored with everything.

I've been meaning to check those albums out. Just haven't gotten around to doing it, though.
I need some extra cash for shit like that since I can't bring myself to downloading songs.... I just hate having those programs on my comp, they lag it up too much, even when they're turned off.
I've just had no luck with those things.
Plus, I like having my CD collection. :P

I hate pits in England.
Every gig I go to now they're all just full of hardcore kids flailing their arms like retards.
I think I hate pits in general anyway... cept circle pits, they're alright as long as you don't lose your good place :D.

I hear you man. I'd feel like such a tool if I added onto an already huge crowd. I mean, It's quite an opportunity, and it could be someone I idolize in metal, but I don't think my life is so unsatisfying where I have to further suffocate someone as another faceless person for being good at metal.
Such is life
Ok you phaggots, I think it's time we each posted our guilty pleasures in music. You know, the stuff your buddies would make fun of you for listening to.
I'll start I suppose. I like:
Frou Frou/Imogen Heap
Seal (his second album is a great piece of work; it has some great tunes)
Maroon 5 (only their newer stuff, actually. I love the funkiness and shit)
Static-X (Blah blah, bullshit, I know)
Here I am, bored with everything.

I'll never forget The Sounds of The Underground. Half metal halfmetalcore/hardcore/IUNNO. Whenever a metal band would come on, it was so much fun, the whole crowd into it, pit or not you know? Then some emo shit would come on, and everyone just stands really still and watches the circle of kids flailing their arms about. I talked to this guy about it, and he is like Oh push pits? those are so lame. And im just like, " its just called moshing. it was first, you cant rename it, and its a lot more brutal than your pseudo karate"
But he argued that it was a lot of aggressive to violently kick and punch and shit. I agreed, it WOULD be more brutal, if you weren't just kicking and punching the air. At least in normal moshs, all you have to do is push and tear and whether or not you're in the center of the pit, you usually will come out with at least one small injury.
And plus, the whole flailing limbs about shit, even if you did hit people, then its just such an asshole thing to do. And it looks like you're trying to pick imaginary carrots sometimes. Iunno.
And I just got so agitated with him. it wasn't about LOOKING TUFF IN DA PIT WITH MUH MEAN MOVES. it was just about feeling the aggression and moshing >:(
I personally love pits. What I DONT enjoy but find myself in a lot since i try to be right on the gates, is getting so smothered from the pit and the thousands of people behind you, that you physically cant move anymore and you can feel your ribs being squished to its utter limit.
I rather be in the pit after a few moments of that.

I'll start I suppose. I like:
Linkin Park
Jimmy Eat World
Madonna (old stuff - no Family Guy jokes >:()
Any Cheesey 80's Pop/Love Songs, Air Supply, Celine Dion, etc, etc, etc.
Basically pop music and nice acoustic stuff.
I wouldn't call anything I listen to guilty pleasures though. If people don't like it tough shit :).
At 8/20/07 06:52 PM, Nev wrote: Jimmy Eat World
Oh, yes. I left these guys out.
I think their work is amazing.
TO add to the list...
The Ataris- Boys of the Summer
Thrice - All That's left and Stare at the Sun.

I agree. Semi-guilty pleasures:
Europe - The Final Countdown
Some Glam Metal
Metallica - Some Kind Of Monster
And some folk music.

I like moshing when you're drunk and at someones house and Slayer is playing on the speakers like (big speakers... rich friends) and you're just ramming into each other cause you have no sense to do otherwise.
Unfortunately those days are long past :(... lost contact with those friends about a year ago.
Speaking of gigs, I have the Red Hot Chili Peppers in three days... and I've twisted my ankle today. Anyone know how long they take to heal (or heel if you like foot puns)?

I feel pretty much the same, but for topic's sake, I'll just make a small list.
Disturbed.
Lamb of God.
Recent Metallica.
Shadows Fall. (although the vocals do bore me a bit after 5 mins.)

Nightwish - Once. Awful album coming from the metal point of view, but I still like it.
The Number Twelve looks Like You. If they didn't have awesome technical proficiency, i'd hate them.
The Raconteurs/The White Stripes. My music taste sells out.
that's just the stuff on my itunes.
As for the music I'm ashamed of in my actual CD collection, i have SOAD's new albums, and tons of classic rock (which i'm not a huge fan of).

And Jeff Buckley :), but he's a guy.
The Fray
W00t :D.
I shall add James Blunt to my list :). No one seems to like him, and its gay, he's really good.

i am proud, the bohemian rhapsody one is also highly hilarious

Ah I love the Red Hot Chilli Peppers their concert I went to a few months back. No doubt it was the best concert I've ever been too. (I have'nt seen many...)
And on the Gulity bands I'd have to say these:
Metallica-Frantic(shoot me now)
System of a Down-old stuff
The songs from the Sonic the Hedgehog games
Slipknot-MFKR and the self entitled album(Bang!)
Faith No More
The Beatles
The Power Rangers Theme
When I die. It will be in a blaze of glory.
Old pop music. not always 'good', but it's fun
and I liked la coka nostra when I saw them live, and they're hiphop
My two Necrophagist CDs just came through the mail today ^___^
Thanks to an awesome friend from Australia. My parents are going to be THRILLED to hear this blasted for the next month.

I just listen to Stabwound on repeat :).
And occasionally Epitaph (the song)... and maybe Seven cause I like the into riff :).
But Stabwound mainly. I downloaded all of Epitaph seperately, so its significantly louder than the rest of the tracks, which makes it so much more enjoyable :).
