Here's what was supposed to be my Inktober grand finale that ended up not being that, still lots of fun. Gonna try to draw more and post more and stuff. Inktober thread was a lot of fun.

Finished three smaller drawings today:

The first one is a sort of homage fan art thing for a comic a friend of mine is working on, you can check out his instagram here, its got some really kickass often brutal art over there.
Second one I just sort of wanted to draw something low energy/ creativity, went with an evil priest dude. Got some pretty cool sketches that I really like that will probably appear in better realized drawings.
Third one was mostly me wanting to use some color since I haven't done that for a while. Definitely not the most well realized or developed or thought out drawing, but there was no reason not to finish it and no reason not to post it up.
My painting professor says something about the work process and experimentation that I really like "the worst thing that can happen is you make a bad painting." I think that's a really nice sentiment and I still have issues with really getting out there into the less representational stuff it is good to remember that if you make a dumb painting or drawing its a lesson learned and you have something to show for it even if its ugly.
Anyway, here's a WIP of something I really should have finished by now.

The color choices and composition in your WIP are fantastic. I'd say the whole painting has good signs of maturity.

Hey, thanks man much appreciated! Definitely happy with the way it's turning out (if a bit scared of overdoing some parts) and it means a lot that you'd drop in with the feedback.

A lot of work backed up that I finally got around to finishing, mostly oil paintings because of a class I was taking. There are a few more I'll probably be throwing up soon too.

ALSO YO! I got Christmas cards again this year, if you want one I'll send you one if I know you well enough on here I'll write a little note on the back too. If not you'll still get a card. I have a limited supply so kinda first come first serve. Or more likely depending on how well I know you.

moving forward I'll be dumping more sketches and studies as I do them as well as links to completed pieces I hope to have up in the portal as they come along. We'll see how it goes.

I drew this guy for Inktober and titled it "Cold Moon" I really liked it and it was one of my favorites, if not my favorite from the month, so since then I've written most of a script for a comic type thing around it. I haven't decided if a full comic suits it best or just a storybook, either way I plan to do one of the two with it.

Weekends are difficult, here's a dynamic monkey duo I drew tonight

Here are two other works in progress, not sure why rabbits, but rabbits.
Left is colored pencil, right is ink.

Bizarrely enough I finished this on the fifth anniversary of the original. Crazy how that worked out, wish I had known so I could have posted it yesterday when it was finished.

Always fun looking at character evolutions.
Anyway here's some storybook stuff. The plan is to do it a quick as possible just to get it done.

Hey, been a while since I've posted in here. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a lot of time to draw substantial things and a lot less time to find to post and check out the forums. Hopefully I can change that in the coming days, weeks months etc.
Here's my latest drawing in the portal:

And here's a dumb little scribble I did a few minutes ago.

Maybe one of these days I'll get around to being good at keeping up with posting again.
quick little character design

ANYWAY here's something new for the forum I think: my major is fashion design and this was the final - design a mood board and small four item line in illustrator. So here's that

Inktober is a lot fun and very cool, but here's some colored pencil work from an illustration class. This was the midterm - we were given two words the class prior "Caustic" and "Clown" and the next class we were given "Careless" on the next meeting and three hours to put something together based on it.

I'm getting my mojo back.

Turns out the way I've been trying to (and failing to) sleep at night instead of drawing has put a massive dent in my ability to actually finish work and get new work started. This past week I've gotten back to my nocturnal tendencies and have been getting a lot more done.
So I guess give in to your self destructive tendencies is the moral?

fuck me, I guess.

I still lurk and stuff!
Here's a Devil I made for a Halloween party I threw.
DIFFERENT ANGLE
The head is newspaper wrapped in duct tape, with pingpong ball eyes. The body is made of clothes stuffed with pillows and blankets. He was a major party animal if the next morning is anything to go by. PICTURE HERE Also bonus of a little imp guy I made too.

I'm gonna definitely for sure 100% this time be more active here. Just you watch.

@jackdcurleo what kind of series are you planning on making the Meatheads into? A game, animated cartoon, comic, ext. Either way it sounds interesting and if you'd like, I can help.

The Meat-Heads at this point are not really a thing beyond the name of this thread. We're about nine years out from the last time I drew them I think. I may have redrawn one like five years ago for nostalgia.

More sketchbook scribbles.

Trying to work fast and loose here and save the more detailed stuff for the Bristol board. iu_13271_2960153.jpg

I'm trying to do at the very least a scribble a day in my sketchbook. Here's another one of those!iu_13664_2960153.jpg
