-ha! thats a great description of them. I only got there second cd because i was curious to see how they changed. But i also like 4 of there songs off the first album so that helped.

My number one Favorite band in my book is Zebrahead. i don't really like Tool or Deftones. again not my kind of music.

But i want to know what you guys think of Emo music.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-02-28 20:36:17

what does SR71 stand for ?

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-02-28 21:25:10

What do I think of Emo Music? Well there are different terms of emo.. it could be "Emotional" which alot bands are. Or just pop-punk which sucks. Most "emo" bands aren't oriniginal at all. they just copy blink 182 or whatever.. but some are but I just dont like Emo music as all.

yeah there are some bands that have been labeled emo that I like. and then there are some that i'm like what is that crap?

But as a parting note don't drink 5 clearly canadians...Damn them for being so delicious and free!

hey guys! whatd i miss? SR71...i thinks ive heard the name...cant say ive heard any of their music though...yeah, emo sucks and pop punk sucks...im not too big on the whole genre thing though. if i like it, i like it, why try to group it with a bunch of other stuff? Sam Goody's just gonna stick it all under "popular" anyway...the fact that band like Good Charlete and Blink 182 can wear essentially the same label as bands like The Sex Pistols and The Clash kinda upsets me. when you put something into a genre, bands are gonna go out and try to fit into the genre they like. this trend will continue until all the bands out there just sound the same. there will be like 2 genres pop and other...that may be a bit extreme but can you at least see where im commin from?

...i've been here a while...

This is my awesome new sig...Do you like it?

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-02-29 17:25:59

I guess my sig says it all.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-02-29 19:22:03

haha yeah! anyway, I agree with you turbo squad. Them being labled as punk or punk rock is bullshit. It is just a big fad right now I think.. like Blink 182 and them.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-02-29 22:54:18

In my opinion heavy metal is the best of all.

Me too. I wanna see an interview with johnny rotten (from the sex pistols) or any real punk rocker like him cutting down bands like good charlotte. That would make my day.

mine as well, 'punk' today isn't even punk... i'ts mostly the idea of 'o0o0 lets make money because we think we're different'. kurt cobain says it best.... 'punk is musical freedom'.

as for slipknot making more cd's...i don't think they should. i'm a hardcore maggot myself, but there just not into it anymore, they all have side projects. ston sour, murder dolls and shawn came out with some pop punk type shit....

haha, i'm done ranting now i swear!!!

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-01 05:46:56

Yeah you're right. Kurt said "Punk sould mean freedom, playing what you want, as sloppy as you want". But there are some good punk bands out there today (in the mainstream). Like:
Rancid
Dropkick Murphys

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-01 14:32:07

i not a big fan of New Found Glory...but i guess its cool you like em. they have to have at least a little talent or they wouldnt have ever made it...just in my opinion theyve wasted their talent...but again, its cool you like em...

Yeah, Same here.. I don't really like them, but they are OK music just not personally my taste of music.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-02 18:32:33

Anybody besides me heard of the band Zebrahead? There my favorite band and all so i was just curious.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-02 20:59:22

Yeah, I heard of them. I didnt hear any music from them. What genre are they?

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-03 00:37:13

In light of our previous discussions on genre etc. I'm going to say good old Rock. They are too organized to be called Punk but eh. you might disagree with me. If you listen to any songs i recommend you listen to their newer album MFZB. Best songs on that are: Rescue Me, Hello Tomorrow, The Set-Up, and Falling Apart. Favorite band so i'm biased. Nothing anyone says will bother me i'm just curious to your opinions and if you like them spreading the love.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-03 07:24:29

Good Charlotte Don't love em Don't hate em. The one thing that gets me is the whole Anarchy thing that alot of punk bands do. There are several ways to interpret it and many people interpret it wrong and that makes me angry.

yeh i like it when bands get away from anarchy and that i mean no fx is like 26 years old now and still cranking the offpsring is in now way anarchy and look at there fucken wicked songs like in smash (my faverite offpsring album) but then also people like penywise are good with the anarchy becasue they ake legedary songs but it is good to get a chang...

blink 182 are changing now and trying to get more seriose but we all know that they are not verry good at there instroments and singing and suck live but people buy there recors casue of laughter...

annyways go the saod. nivana, metalica and rob zombie all greats and ooriganaly the best

Yeah i hate emo too. I listened to blink 182 and crap like that a few years ago cause it was considered "cool". Then again i also pretended to like rap for a while so people would like me... My band's bassist has a mohawk, it's pretty awesome.

Response to Rock Music Club.. 2004-03-03 15:53:49

Awesome, I like Lars Fredricksons Mohawk alot (From Rancid) but I perferd when he had short blond hair, but it's still awesome. Yeah pop-punk in general (Not all) are just trying to be punk by talking about girls and stuff, which is not what it is about

i really didn't like there newest cd. It sounded like Lars was banging on a bunch of Trashcan lids. Plus musically it was lacking i thought compared to their other cds.
