Like I've said elsewhere, I'm inclined to believe it unless proven otherwise, because from what I know of him, I really doubt major-punk himself would pull off an e-jink like that. He's fairly well respected and liked by folks here, and if he did something like that, he'd be an outcast. I don't think he'd do that for no reason, plus I don't think he has it in him.

So the only way it's not real, IMO, is if someone else gained access to his account while he was away from it (say he gave the password to a friend to deposit for him while he was on vacation).... and they decided to play QUITE the prank.

Well, if they had substantially raised the baseVP max from 10 upwards... then I'm pretty sure level 40-somethings like myself wouldn't have just 8.x baseVPs... we'd have more around 9-10 range.

The question isn't about that.... 10.00 + 60% will still equal 16.00 VP for a level 60 with EGSC...

no, the question is... there was a lot of talk after the redesign about more than just exp and b/p rank going into VP (like maybe whistle or something?). If more factors impact VP besides the two old factors... THEN we could see VPs over 16.00, potentially.

That's probably yet another thing on the admin's super-long list of tasks/features to add to get around to eventually.

Why does it seem to me that at present every list I look at shows me as tantalisingly close to the top 50? At least I'm close to passing biteme, which will mean I get to sit at #51 for weeks.

I've passed ScottTowels, so that should ease the frustration, I suppose :P That and I'm way ahead of Dream-of-Duke on this list, that is.

Most of us in the top 100 have become EGSC. With that being said, their VP increases slowly due to the fact that each individual's VP only goes up by 0.01 every 5 deposits. Now since we have 60 exp levels, it is about time to make 60 b/p levels. It is just painful to inch forward after you have reached
EGSC.

My last rank up brought me up to a 44% VP bonus, giving my 9.67 total VP. I guess that by the time I get to Commander/Supreme Commander, my base VP combined with my B/P bonus will mean that I'm getting reasonably close to this list.

Like I said, still a fair way to go...

my overall vp is 8.35 and my base is 6.14..........so sad

I've raised my VP by over 2.00 since then. It may be slow, but the tide of everyday depositing... is hard to overcome. And certainly the slow crawl since I hit EGSC has not made me ANY less of a VP fan... than I was back when I was hitting new b/p ranks and getting % bonuses to my VP.

But maybe that's just me. Call me crazy for staying a VP fan post-EGSC. #;-}>

My alt is around 9.40VP... with a smaller VP % bonus. If I weren't trying to get gfoxcook up to 36k saves, I dare say my alt would be above you in VP already. Rest assured... it'll be a long time before I pump very many blams and saves into it, though a steady trickle of 10 or so blams per week is SOMEthing, I suppose.

Like I said, still a fair way to go...

depositing is easy. i think i must have missed a couple while on holiday last year, but that's about it. as for rankups, well i'm frequently bored nowadays and was close enough to a rankup that i could get something extra easily, but i'm involved enough in other projects and bored enough of here now that getting another 1900 is going to take basically forever. maybe if i'm free on clock day, i can hammer five for four figures or something and re-evaluate, but my days of spending a long time on here are pretty much over
