I've already passed both ~X~ and -Cronno- in experience. Hopefully I'll be higher than them in the list by next update, putting me beneath the legendadry gfoxcook... for a very long time.
That's me, all right. #;-}> Welcome aboard. And yep, the stay's a long one.
I was #15 (And before that, I think I was #14 for a bit)... then #16 for awhile... then #15 again. And there at #15 I have stayed for... oh... over a year now. It's a sloooooooooooooow climb from here.
But hey, I just noticed today that I'm #66 in exp now according to my userpage ranking (last time I had noticed, I was still in the 70s!), so... at least I'm moving up SOMEwhere. #;-}>

Yea.. this is the 2nd time reaching 14.00 .... but first one to reach it after the redesign.
15.00 VP is definitely possible with the new system. It's all just a matter of time.
Unless they make it rescale when pimp hits level 60, which there's a lot of speculation of. In which case, I'll be pretty enraged.
Why would they make it rescale when Pimp hits level 60? It defies logic. Putting the experience requirements and therefore the Voting Power back on the sliding scale seems like it might still be a possibility, but given that the only people who need to know about this at the moment (for the next 2 years :P) are the Admins, we can merely speculate.
What about it defies logic?
The pasted text from Tom certainly suggests they aren't planning right now to re-introduce scaling, but I know I'm not alone when I assumed that level 60 = scaling begins again when the redesign came out and Pimp was at level 50 out of 60.
I couldn't see Pimp suddenly achieveing level 60 as a massive boost to his VP or penalty for everyone else.
No, but why would it be that way? Once HT or Pimp was at level 30, every day they deposited didn't add to their VP at all. Their VP stayed the same, and the only way ours went DOWN was if we didn't deposit.
So I'd hardly call that a penalty for the rest of us or a boost to the top user. More of just a... handicap for all of us while he treads water. It would just mean we'd be back to it taking longer to level up, increase VP, etc. etc, that's all.

I was curious about how things would work when Pimp reached level 60... perhaps this PM i got back from Tom can better answer your question

The way the new system works is, the gap widens between each level as you go up - but it's a static algorithm, so it doesn't change based on what levels other users are on... It just takes longer to advance from one level to the next.
Under the new system, people will be able to keep leveling up beyond level 60 - their level will show, but currently they wills till have the level 60 icon (this could change)... The gap becomes so wide at this point, that advancing additional levels will start to be a VERY VERY slow process... But the opportunity is there for people who keep depositing. :)

That's an interesting brand new system.
...the thing is, it's still kinda a mystery :/ Guess we're gonna have to wait and see >_<
Indeed. It won't take all that long. If scaling comes back, though, at least we all got 2-3 years to massively up our exp, levels, VP, etc. before the scaling came back.... and then it's just back to usual. But at least a usual with 60 levels instead of just 30. #;-}>

Well, do you have an example of any user that had this happen to him?
I can't link to them if they're deleted dude. :|
Didn't he say a user with their exp or b/p reset to 0? That's not the same thing as deleting a user.
And yes, there have been users with stats set back to 0 by the admins.
I can think of one who had their posts all deleted. And another who had all their b/p deleted. Without their accounts being deleted at the same time.
