My new game's coming out on Friday. The first game I'll have submitted since 3 years... As a "member" who keeps disappearing because of school and other interests, I'd be honored if you guys reviewed it.

New song of mine. I'm mostly posting it here because I'm not sure if I put it in the right genre.
And here comes that double update since I was sick for the first week...
As an overall impression, these two weeks have actually been a pretty good two weeks, especially the first (probably because the first requests list was significantly smaller than the second with a ratio of 7:13). As always, SCTE3 and SeeD419 reviewed all the requests, despite it being a close call for SeeD. Because of this, every request got at least two reviews, and also the max amount of RRC reviews on a submission was 7.
While we had a few inactive members, the members who did any reviews (apart from SCTE3 and SeeD419) all did good amounts. Coop and Haggard did an impressive 16 and 11 reviews respectively, thatbennyguy did another good amount of 13 reviews and Rabid-Animals and horsebugger both reviewed 4 requests. We also have a new member, FatKidWitAJetPak, who did 5 reviews. Unfortunately, the bad part is that we lost two members: camoshark, a relatively new member, and sixflab, who was in the RRC for a massive amount of time.
Milestones... SeeD419 passed 2000 points, and SCTE3 is getting closer to the 1000 points milestone. With the absence of sixflab, SeeD419 snatched 4th place in the list, and at this rate he'll have passed me in around a month and a half. D:
Now, remember that this update is for two weeks, so SeeD419 and SCTE3 get 14 points each for doing all of the requests instead of 7. The stars of inactivity still count for both the weeks, so if someone was inactive for the whole two weeks, he gets two stars next to his name. Lastly, expect the Average per Member stat to be a bit higher than usual because there are more reviews to account for with the two weeks of requests, naturally.
Oh, and a quick note. I'm starting to count Rory's weeks of inactivity now, since we can't keep waiting for his connection forever.

I didn't post anything last week, so at least you got one less review to do! Of course, I couldn't let that happen two weeks in a row, now could I?

Pretty good first week for me, but I think I did no (or only one?) review for the second week. And even worse: I started playing Demon's Souls yesterday, which also eats away my time, lol.

But please, this club hosts the best reviewers on the website... Unlike the ones who can't tell a comment apart from a review. Reviews nowadays are like one-line comments you see on YouTube...
I'm not requesting because of lack of criticism. It's because a flawed game like that needs constructive reviews.
I know I don't have the right to ask for much, since I keep disappearing and re-appearing, completely devoid of commitment to the club. It's because of school, really. I joined the club during the summer because I had more free time than you could ever imagine... But now, I don't even have any weekends.

Just putting it out there that I am going to be reviewing most if not all of the things requested, even though I may not be a part of the club... I wouldn't mind being in it, just not sure my reviews meet the criteria(?) you guys are looking for at this point, regardless I don't mind helping out the artists and giving them some criticism.
Cool, well I am working on making my reviews better, some tracks I just can't make long reviews about for some reason, so I am just skipping those for now... I got to all the tracks that I can review decently, and think I did a fairly good job, besides forgetting the RRC tag... I'll get used to that, let me know what you think and if I can actually be a part of the club... Seems I am actually enjoying reviewing these a lot.

Boy, oh boy, is it difficult to keep up with all these requests! I've just finished the flash requests and each of my reviews is like a page long. I gotta stop being all perfectionist with my reviews otherwise the (review quality * review quantity) equation won't reach its near maximum!

Well, this is the first flash I have ever made that has gotten a good score past judgment. So, I would like reviews on it. I have some ideas on how to improve it, but I want a second opinion. BBS posters actually seem to be capable of thinking.
It's about the typical Facebook using teenage girl. The only thing that's carrying it on is the joke of it. Since it did well, I may make another, hence why I want a good review.

Hello! Welcome to the new Review Request Club thread. This thread is meant to give the club a fresh start and make it a pleasant place to stay. In order to do this, it goes without saying that you must follow the regular BBS rules and read the C&C Advice Thread before posting if you are new to this forum.
This club aims to increase the exposure of the most under-rated Newgrounds music, art and flash artists. The other major purpose of the club is to offer the Newgrounds artists high quality feedback so they can constantly improve their work.
To the requesters:
Every Newgrounds user is allowed to request a review as soon as he submitted something. To get your work reviewed, don't post here without thinking but follow these few rules:
- Post a direct link to the submission(s) you want reviewed.
- Make no more than 3 Flash and Art requests between two updates (that's one week), and no more than 3 Audio Requests between 5 updates (that's four weeks).
- Please respond to reviews, reviewers like it and some of them are statwho... oh wait, interested in stats.
- Be patient. Due to the points system, you may not see reviews until up to two weeks after you requested, or if you requested more than 1 Audio submission, you may not see reviews on your second submission up until 3 weeks after you requested, and you may not see reviews on your third submission up until 4 weeks after you requested.
- Do NOT request without posting a link, be kind, reviewers are not robots.
- Do NOT simply say "Review everything" or just link to your profile.
- Do NOT request reviews for the same submission more than once.
- Do NOT request reviews for a submission with over 50 reviews.
- Do NOT request reviews for spam. Spam is only there to annoy, not to be critically analyzed.
- Unless you are a club member, only request reviews for YOUR OWN submissions.
To the reviewers:
If you want to join the club and complete requests, simply post in the thread saying you would like to join. Then, regular members will go through your reviews and determine if they are good enough to be part of the club. Your reviews are required to be helpful, developed and well-organised. If you need help with writing good reviews, read Fro's guide to writing helpful reviews.
Once you are accepted, you can start reviewing stuff. If you are a new member of the club, once you understand how the point system works, please post - one or two days before the update - the total points you've earned during the week. This is considered as a sort of application form, and if you fail to do so, you will NOT be added to the club.
Points System:
List updaters will keep track of each member's points in order to build a list. You don't need to post your points before each update but you can keep track of your score on your own so any error can be fixed. This is how points are counted:
5 points for a review on a requested submission (movie, game, art, or audio).
1 point for writing "Review Request Club" at the bottom of a requested review.
3 points for posting at least once throughout the two weeks.
5 points for referring a new member (must mention you in first post).
7 points for reviewing all requests/recommendations between two updates.
Club Updates:
Each Sunday or Monday, a list of all the members is created, counting up their points, featuring various stats and posting a list of requested submissions. Assuming you review the submissions in that list, you will get points for them accordingly in the following members' update, around a week later.
Don't forget the lists are built and updated by humans so it may be possible the update is delayed due to various real life reasons. If it ever occurs, don't get mad; calm down and wait :).

Why a new thread?
The main idea was to give the club a new and fresh start. Since the old one was flooded by requests and not updated any more, the RRC regulars thought creating a new thread would be best for the club.
Should I link to the club in my forum signature?
There's no obligation to do so, but it's certainly appreciated. Remember that you can put a high number in place of the page number in the URL and if that page doesn't exist yet, Newgrounds will take you to the latest page, whatever it is. For example, "http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/107 2042/999" will take you to the latest page of this club.
RRC Signature?
Yes, at the end of each review, if you want you can write down 'Review Request Club'. There is no obligation to do so, but you'll get +1 point if you put the RRC signature in your review. You can add anything you want to it, E.G.: *Review Request Club*, |Review Request Club|, -Review Request Club-, etc, but as long as 'Review Request Club' is clearly written, you will get the point. You are also allowed to add the sig in any reviews other than requests in this club, as long as you are a club member yourself. It's all the more exposure for the club, and it's very much appreciated.
+1 point if I put the RRC signature in my review... I'm not sure if I get it correctly.
You gain 6 points for a review on a request with "Review Request Club" in the end of it, as opposed to 5 points if you hadn't added the signature at the end. If it's still not clear, read this.
Does the Review Request Club review for non-NG stuff?
No. It must be an NG submission. If you have a non-NG submission which you would like us to review, then use your common sense and upload it to NG. Also, we will only review using the 'Write a Review' method on submissions. We won't send reviews by PM, review in your newspost or review in any particular thread of yours.
Do I have to review all the requests?
No you don't have to, just do your best :). Though completing them all will give you 7 extra points.
Which requests should I review?
If you want to get points for the next member's update, look for the latest requests list in the club thread and review the requests from that list. If you review any requests from various posts in the thread which would have been posted after the latest requests list, you will be getting points for the member's update after the next one.

Hey at least you're doing better than me. I haven't done an RRC review in weeks :(.
Anyway, just a quick announcement. One of the members have two reviews to finish so that he can get 100% and I've contacted him offering to wait for him to finish them, so I'll probably get the update done tomorrow.
NOTE: whoever does any reviews from now until I do the update, please let me know since I've already counted up all of the reviews and if anyone does any reviews between now and tomorrow and doesn't tell me about it, they won't count.

I submitted it for a competition and one of the prizes if you made it to the eight finalists was that you get in-depth reviews from the judges, but I didn't make it to the finalists so I'd love some reviews on it if possible.

Well, it's quite a quiet and unfortunate week this time round. We lost three members, to start with: Celx-Requin, a member who was with us for quite a long time, Fro, who left the club again, and Rory who mysteriously disappeared :(. We've got quite a few inactive members this time round too, and among the people who did some requests were SCTE3 and SeeD419 who didn't manage to keep up the 100% streak they had going.
On the bright side, we have a new member, EpicFail, who did a reasonable chunk of the Audio Requests and reviewed the Art Request too. Not only that, but I'll have to say that we owe this week to thatbennyguy, who not only managed to review all of the requests, but review them with pretty detailed reviews too.
Max amount of RRC reviews was, I believe, on the Art Request, and minimum amount was one.
Anyway, overall it's not our best week, but in our defense there were quite a lot of requests anyway. Good luck this week!

Awesome, it's too bad those guys left... Perhaps they'll show their faces again some time, hope so anyway.
I'll be sure to try getting at all of them next time around, been real busy with my own things, got music of my own to work on and submit!

Since SCTE3 hasn't posted the list yet, I did it instead. We have around half the amount of requests as last time, and despite the lack of Art Requests it's not a devastating list this time.
I'll probably update next Sunday (not the one coming, but the one after) to try and get back to the routine of Sunday updates, although I don't know how long that will last because my GCSE mock exams will be starting soon.
