Just make a safety save of your current save file before it should unlock the medal. That is the best way to prevent a loss of the connection, broken medals, game lag, a maintenance or just a little hiccup of the system. In the end, you want to get the medals and even when it may take some time to find and copy it, it is worth the time loss due to sth. you cannot prevent. It happens so often here and there are still people complaining about, but it takes a small effort to avoid it.

Perfectionist and True Perfectionist are pretty easy to figure out by their names. Completing the 2 games with a certain amount of points/lives/money ;)
