There is a song where you start. Throwing your range weapon into the gargoyle statue reveals it. But I have no idea if that is the correct one, just a guess.

When many people are playing a new medal game, I have often experienced the problem that I just don't get medals. It looks like it is a problem we Europeans have. Always secure your save file and try it again, when you really want the medals.
