The author of this game now changed the controls from messy to responsive. If you didn't get a few of the medals before, now it might be the time to try again.

I PMed the author about it and he said "You have to continue playing after killing boss, difficulty will be increased and there will be more enemies."
So, I'm guessing you have to kill 5k and 10k in 1 playthrough.
