Equipment:
Mana staff: Works very well with the healing spell. You have about 10 percent chance of gaining 1 mana each time you deliver a hit. It's not as strong as the other weapons, but the healing makes up for it.
Viking hood: Very straightforward. Great boost of two stats.
Ninja armour: Together with the hood it nullifies the attack lowering from the staff, making you not very weak. If you prefer the pirate jacket, that's fine too.
I always set attack on a, quick key mana 1 on s. Set quick mana key 1 on heal (level 3). That will be the only spell you will do throughout the entire battle.
For his attacks:
At the right he throws bombs. They hit you with only three, and him with 100. Try to bounce them back to him, as this cuts his HP greatly.
When he drives to the middle and stands there jump over him while attacking and holding up.
He then drives to the left, shooting bullets. If you hit them with your mana stick, you still may get mana. Use this to your advantage. When he shoots a bullet at the top row and one at the bottom row at the same time and you must jump between them for example, attack while you're in the air. It may give you mana.
Remember that you only need to beat him on easy. I beat every other level on hard, but it turns out it wasn't necessary. I'm not very good at the game, but on easy I beat him with all mana and almost all HP left without any trouble.
I'm now uploading a video to youtube, but it takes ages. While writing this it only made 2% progression...
(First attempt at being useful around here in a while)
I thought I might as well throw in my 2 cents about boss rush medal on adventure story. You have to beat it on hard/epic, you get the 4 bosses one after the other but the terrain is changed slightly.
For equipment, mana staff/pirate jacket/ninja hood. No point getting +HP since healing appears to only depend on magic stat.
On hard, for the first boss you can just stand in front of him and whack away and ignore the spikes. You will gain enough MP to heal and negate all damage. Pretty much same for second boss, just stand right in front of him and hit non-stop, though you'll want to avoid the ground spike attack and the laser attack.
Third boss: only shoots icicles at you at the extreme left or right. When doing so, stand in front of him at the lowest level and attack. (I seem to have better chance of not being hit by icicles compared to standing on the ice platform). When he disappears, he will travel towards the other side. Every time he surfaces, some rocks will be thrown. I'm not great at avoiding them, so when the boss is going to appear at center-left or center-right, I jump behind him (before he surfaces) and land between the spikes. Advantages: 1) every 3rd attack has a slightly longer range and will hit him. 2) the rocks are thrown away from you so you'll never be hit. When boss is low on HP, when he leaves the extreme left/right, he will leave behind an ice-spewing rock enemy. 2 x lvl3 lightning should quickly take care of it, then repeat.
You should reach the final boss with (almost) full HP and mana.
Final boss: On the right side, it will either shoot bombs or (when lower in HP) fireballs. You can stand right in front of it without being burnt by the lava platform and hit him. If there are lava-spewing monsters about, I cast ice on them and finish them off (usually netting you 2MP in the process) before going for the boss again. If there are those jumping things about, ignore them and focus on the boss. They will eventually die either to you or the bombs. Bombs don't actually hurt you much, so your MP steal+healing will see you through, but you do NOT want to be trampled by the boss (which is more painful), so look out for the animation when the cannon retracts somewhat, and get out of the way.
If shooting fireballs (which are painful), I'd suggest staying in the middle and focus on avoiding them.
When the boss is on the left, there is no safe spot where you can hit the boss without being burnt by the lava. Since jump timing is important in avoiding the missile attacks, I'd say be patient and simply stay in the middle and focus on avoiding the attacks.
If you are having difficulties with the boss run medal, you're probably being too greedy trying to sneak in attacks when you should focus on avoiding being hit (as I had been doing)
