I'm pretty sure Frenzy is bugged. I played the Akimbo class for the majority of the game because the Unload skill does a lot of damage, but switched it up after I got level 40-ish just to try the others before I maxed out. With maxed strength plus Damage Boost, I would do roughly 50-65 damage per use of the Unload skill. Each hit did between 17 and 21, so that seemed to add up. But I noticed that the Combatant's Frenzy (with the addition of Damage Boost) did about double what it claimed to do; each Frenzy was between 25-28 damage (two hits of 12-17), but the enemy would lose 50+ health. The Combatant's regular attacks calculate correctly, but Frenzy seems to take off way more damage than it is supposed to, which makes it easily the strongest class. The Commando and Bolter classes are worthless.
My strategy: keep strength and efficiency as high as you're allowed, and put about 5 points in precision and resistance. At that point, max strength and efficiency. That should be enough to get through the game I think, but beyond that I maxed out resistance, then agility, then precision, then durability. Even the final boss can barely hit me, and when he does it does 0 damage.
On an unrelated note, has anyone noticed the end-game level system is ... well, I won't say "bugged," but inaccurate? When I got level 50, I was told the next level was at 10,000,000 EXP. However, since then I killed the boss a few more times and have gotten two more levels. As such, I'm now level 52 with 6 stat points that I can't spend on anything. I hope that the third secret medal isn't to get 10,000,000 EXP... this game was enough of a grind as it was. I'm pretty sure I know what it is, however, and thus why it's impossible to get at the moment.
