The hex puzzle is easy. Any respectable computer programmer knows hexadecimal. Basically, our number system counts in base 10, while hexadecimal is base 16 (and binary is base 2). Base 10 and base 16 are the same below 10, but after 9, hexadecimal represents 10 as 'A', 11 as 'B', ... and 15 as 'F'. 16 is represented as 10, meaning there's 1 16. 23 in hex equals to 35 in base 10, since 2x16 + 3 = 35. 4D in hex is 4x16 + 13 = 77.
If that explanation is unsatisfactory, you should google it. Maybe some other site out there can explain it better than I can.
The Spade vault is a serious b!tch to deal with unfortunately, and by far the most difficult part of the game =(
Holy cow! That's what it takes to open those vaults!?! Jeeze! I wanted to play a game, not become some computer whiz! I swear, I'm barely able to turn on a computer, let alone figure that out! I wouldn't even know where to begin with that, seeing how I don't even know how to start the hex puzzle, as the numbers continually change. Oh man, I might just stop playing this one because of that.
The vodka/case ratio is another pain in the butt, mostly because there are absolutely no instructions on what the buttons do! I can get the vodka at one volume, and the case at another, and think I'm scott-free, but then boom! I lose. Or I can get the case's volume all the way down, but the vodka still needs nearly half of the line filled. And I thought just getting to the damn case was hard! Yeesh! Maybe if the instructions weren't so cryptic in this game it would be a bit easier.
Thanks for at least attempting to help a stupid old man like myself, Fooliolo. I'm afraid I'm a lost cause though. :)
