Even though my desktop is unable to capture every frame on video, I took a look at the numbers for the Spike trap game.
Time for guy to clear the spike trap by running: ~0.3 seconds
Spike trap trigger latency: ~0.1 seconds
Time for guy to clear the spike trap via banana peel: ~0.1 seconds
... wow ... just wow...
Okay, time to put this into perspective. For the most part, given that I know what's coming, I can smash the guy with about 90% success rate when he's trying to make a dash for the other side at random.
As for .1 seconds... there's the mailman's timing game in Zelda: Majora's Mask. You have to hit the button at 10 seconds flat (10.00), and the only clue you get is a time for the beginning portion. You can get a timer accurate to the tenth second for the whole duration if you use the Bunny Hood. Try to imagine hitting within .05 seconds of the 10 second mark. It's easy with the Bunny Hood because you get the sense of rhythm the whole 10 seconds, but without it, it's a lot harder. Like, way harder.
Actually doing the simple banana peel segment for the Spike game is a lot shorter, so it's easier in that respect. But the fact remains that even if you had a lot of practice, the game is made in Flash, and you won't have that good of a response time because of the software.
For the record, my highest in survival mode atm is 26.

Nope. I was hoping you would know more about it because you have the 3 platinum medal. I beat 2 levels with a platinum rating, but the game is really boring. It's a 50 pt medal so I'm afraid we have to play a few more waves at each level. Also, fun little Majora's Mask reference. And yes, those banana peels make that spike game a LOT harder.

I had a word with the author on Newgrounds: Retaliation, and apparently the project was rushed, since he only added and tested items the day before uploading. He also seems a bit oblivious as to how long it actually takes to progress beyond wave 8. It will literally take all day to get to wave 20 if he doesn't change anything.
Has anybody made guide for Name that NG Character?
Is the 10,000 points medal broken for anybody else? I've tried submitting my score using both submit buttons, upgrading my score a bit and trying both again, can't get it to send.

It's not broken for me, but when I got 10,025 points, the points didn't add up anymore. Did this happen to you, but just before the 10,000 limit?

The medal should unlock as soon as you play a level after getting 10k points. After the 10k mark I couldn't get any more points as well.
For the balls, you can find them at the beginning of lvl 16. You can see them right away in the wall on the left. When you are on the first lift, there is a spot just above the spikes you can walk through and grab the balls.
If anyone is wondering where the top hat is, it's at the start of lvl 5.

I can - I went through the whole game and didn't get credit for the 100 characters medal, so I had to go through the whole game again... as such, I'm quite familiar with the characters and can get a guide up pretty quick. Should I include pictures of the silhouettes, or just say which hints are for which characters? If you want pictures, it'll take a bit longer since I'll have to go through the game and screengrab each silhouetted character, but still doable.

wave 10 takes forever already. And on the fancypants map a spider glitched me and I was stuck at the top of the map....at the very end of level 9, too. oh, the rage.

That's a guess. I mean, I think the medal is for defeating Angry Faic, and he's probably only going to show up at a certain wave.
Also, you have to complete wave 10 for platinum, not just get there. Rage is justified anyways, since I experienced the same thing in the school level.
Whoops, misread queenofbabes. Actually a spider got stuck in the very top left corner outside the arena on the school level, which imo is even worse. I didn't actually get glitched outside the level, although shenanigans similar to that has happened.

Got 39 kills in survival mode before wiping. 38 is the stupid banana peel again with a juke, after the gauntlet of banana peels between 12-19. Got fooled by the old back-and-forth dash and stop seen at 8 and 9 =(

Nice. Most of the medals are quite easy to get. The game is a little bit glitchy here and there though.

That is entirely your fault for making that assumption. The only reason why he knows this is because there's a medal for jumping a single barrel, which Auz didn't get until much later.

Childish name calling. What is this, the playground? haha. No luck finding the secret medal either. I thought maybe it was to go up the other set of ladders in level 2 (maybe possible in level 1? Haven't tried) but that isn't it.
Also, I thought the 100pt medal was for getting 100K points, and got pretty excited (Beat level 3/4/5 in a row) and then found out it's 1 million points :( I guess you just need to play to level 50 and then the points for completing each level with be like 50 thousand. Even then, you still need to beat 4/5 levels in a row..

Sonic Stage did exist as a game by King-Of-GETs previously, and its counterpart is Mario Stage; both are the same game with different enemies. But it's not newer than the Ezam games.
Looking at the view count, it seems like it might be low enough for the author to pull a switch-a-roo without needing staff approval. I'm inclined to say that the medals are now completely unattainable. PG needs to know about this.
Or NG royally screwed up somewhere.

Quite a good game! Hint: If you spam space and hold the right button at the start of the first level, you start at the second platform, and you can be on the fifth platform by the time he throws his first barrel.
I was wondering: do hammers also count for the items you have to pick up for the collector medal?
