Here's the thing: not only can you not kill anything, but you can't let a sentry gun kill anything else, either. Basically, if anything dies, regardless of who does it, you don't get the medal. I seem to recall there being an exception somewhere, but I can't remember what it was.

You should be able to do it in 5-7 shells. Again, a fast computer helps, which is unfortunate, as I tried the challenges you mentioned, and I've only failed once due to bad aiming from kickback.

PhotonStorm made a post awhile back that he supposedly changed the requirements that it has to be done on level 1, and sentry gun kills do not count against you.

However, I'm finding that to be not true. I have yet to do level 1 without a single kill anywhere for any reason, but the medal does not perform as advertised.

What stops you from grinding the boss down to 0 life? Sorry if my memory is bad, but I only remember stuff with visuals extremely well, and I just chalked down any boss after the alien commander as a generic unit on steroids. Just don't lead him to your base and he should go back to where he was.

In Vectrix, has anyone gotten the Low Rider medal? I just hugged the ground for a good 30 seconds at Mach and didn't get it.

Nope, though I never actually went for it. However, there's something else about this game that's bothering me, and that's the fact that I haven't seen a single shield power-up yet. And I've played the game quite a few times. Did anyone encounter those?

The drop rate for shields seems to have been reduced, despite the number of things that can hurt you having been increased. I actually just sent the programmer a message about that. I happened to fluke about 5 shield drops in my last game, and JUST made it to hyperspeed before losing my last one, and now unless the shield drop rate is increased or the low rider medal is fixed I'm done with the game forever, because that much frustration for a working 25, a broken 25, and a nearly impossible 50 just isn't worth it.

They do appear. It's strange, though, in some games they don't appear at all, others sometimes, and in rare cases a bunch of them show up one after another. I finally got the last medal because they just kept popping up. Mind you, I've been playing the game for a long time now, and have the 5th highest score, over 4 million points. Yeah... I've been playing that far to long for that last medal.

I can get the "impossible 50" just fine (though I would be lying if I said it was easy). It's the fking fighters that I'm having issues with. There's never 10 in a single game that I've played.

Really? Damnit, it seems that I've run out of luck, then. Gonna play that game a couple more times, still need 5 medals for it.

Also, Echoes survival is kicking my ass. I'm gonna check if there's a strategy guide available somewhere, because my highest wave is probably around 7 now (16 minutes). With my skills this far I'm nowhere near the 10th wave, that's for sure.

The apples number medal for a level seem to very. On the last level I missed a couple and had 197, so I thought I had to get a perfect 200. The next time I played I got the medal for collecting 193 apples, but there were still plenty of bad guys about. Odd....

Vibe13 has gotten back to me about Vectrix: he's uploaded a new version that fixes the Low Rider medal, and once it passes muster and goes live that should work as expected. He told me that the medal actually works now, but you have to hug the ceiling rather than the floor. I found that amusing. I've made my case for increasing the number of shield drops to him, so now it's in his hands unless other people want to mention to him that it frustrates them as well.

I noticed that too. When I actually took my time to get all the apples, there were always apples and/or baddies remaining on the screen when the medal popped up. Struck me as odd.

Ummm.. I believe you can just play the last level to get it. I can't really confirm it because my play was mostly aimed at getting the apple medals, and not the secret medal, and so I played the levels I didn't have them for. They were 1, 2 and 4. I skipped the 3rd level by going back to the main menu. I failed on the 4th level once, then retried it and beat it and the secret medal popped up during the ending animation.

Playing just the last level works.

I can confirm that in the current unupdated file, hugging the top at mach speed will get you the Low Rider medal in Vectrix.

It's a really fun game, but the in-game medal for trying all the drugs seems to be broken. Also gotten pot and pills; basically I've gotten everything at one point, and I've probably gotten everything in a single game by now.

I tried to get Pacifist on level 1 in Cat Astro Phi. Didn't get it while I had to. I'm not sure if I'm gonna try to get it on level 3. As for now I declare it broken.

Also, I just got I'm Deus Ex Machina for Echoes. Thing is, I died right after getting it, and my time was 20:43. This means that the time you need for the medal is approximately 20 minutes, rather than the 24 minutes EdyKel mentioned a long while back.

I don't think the ''crash against 10 concrete walls'' works ingame. I'm pretty sure I've crashed against about 20 of them by now. I hope the medals will work soon though.

haaaaaa, is really impossible to beat this boss in level 9 of the game Squadron Auriga, none of my units can beat him, I really need a good strategy.

Times may very depending on the speed of your computer. Mine is painfully slow for this game.

There are two. One you can keep a small token force near your base while you pummel the boss with a bunch of parachute bombs. The other is to take small unit of strong infantry, preferably the cyborgs, and use the freeze bomb just before you attack the sucker.

thanks for your advice, now I try these strategies!

So, word from Vibe13 on Vectrix seems to be that he's not going to increase the frequency of ships or of shield drops. I've asked if he can raise the point values on the 15 seconds at hyperspeed medal and the 10 ships medal each to 100pts given the unbalance, and if he can at least increase the number of starting shields from 2 to 4. I'll keep you all posted.
