Though I have found an exploit. More details on that later.
There, that's a little better. Here's the exploit: when the game first loads, and you click play, there's a delay. I found out by accident that if you double-click play rather than single-clicking, and then spam the enter key as it's about to go into the game (you'll get used to the timing), then the game thinks you're playing twice at the same time. At the start you'll have slightly less time to get to the gaps, but by the time you get to a score of about 30 the two will be perfectly in sync and you'll just be getting double score with no added difficulty. So instead of having to survive 40 levels with 2 gaps and 10 with 1, you only have to survive 20 levels with 2 gaps and 5 levels with 1.
You can use this trick to get as many going at once as you want, but I've found that 4 or more is unplayable, and 3 will always kill you right when you get to 40. I've also found that the odds of not having to move between drops seems to go up significantly when playing twice at the same time; on the game I just played where I got to 50, I went without moving for 5 drops in a row, twice.
So there you go, an exploit to speed up medals on an already pretty fast game that gets redundant rather quickly, and is based on luck, and nobody likes medals based on luck.
