You get it when you finish the game. Seeing as you already got the medal try replaying the game again it and you'll see that whenever you use your ice 'ability' the ice meter will stop decreasing.

Still trying to find that secret area, since it's something to do with a statue I'm guessing it's near the 10th level. (just before the boss sequence)

The game just glitched out on me when I was doing shortcuts in between levels.

All I see is flashing lights and Iceboy bobbing up and down like a spastic. Now I can't progress to the later levels due to this bug:

Alright, after searching through the level that I was stuck in I finally figured out how to get to the secret area:

First off you need to be on the level where there's a machine that shoots out homing missiles at you (first encounter). Then glitch your way out of the box by pushing Iceboy up with the ice. Though you might need to make an ice bridge to stop Iceboy from falling. After that just push Iceboy up till it reaches the end of the screen then just simple jump onto the invisible platform.

I don't know if the area's different for everybody but the game glitched for me first before reaching the secret area.

Whatever. The game keeps sending me to random levels and sometimes I also keep seeing those flashing lights. I never saw a game more buggy than this.

Actually that's the second level with missile cannons. I was wondering why I couldn't jump near the flag xD Unfortunately, the medal is borked or something because I found the area too on my third play-through, but I didn't get the medal. (the source of the glitches seems to be an off-by-one error, caused because you don't ever come back to the tutorial level)

Well, it worked for me. I jumped all around Bitey to because I wasn't sure if was entering the area, or touching it that registered the medal.

And here it is, in all its 20 second glory. So much easier than the intended solution. Seriously. And I got the medal without having to touch Bitey or anything, it just gave it to me.

The hell? Is anyone else losing their medal points? My medal score was 52495 earlier when I logged them in NG logs and now it's down to 52370. I'm not really that bothered losing only a mere 100 pts though I'm curious which medal game got their score downgraded (or removed).

Oh, I thought I was going crazy, I lost ~200 medal points. I tried looking through my medals to see if any ones got zeroed, but I couldn't find any.

I found Dash Hopes 3 to be completely retarded, and considering it seemed to be engineered just to try and kill the DJ rather than be a piece of music with some story, I had to settle with just simply passing it. It wasn't even remotely enjoyable.

Oh, and I rofl'd heartily after hearing Dash Hopes 3 EX xD

On another note... I played the whole game in two sitting for the afternoon. Some of the harder songs (including Seven Circles) cannot be feasibly done on really bad machines, such as my crappy lappy. I switched over to my new desktop machine afterwards to see if the game would perform better in spammy parts, and it worked wonders. I didn't think it was so easy to bork my left wrist though because my right wrist has seen worse abuse x_X

Nijsse, you say you have 81 clear stars, but that has me scratching my head. You say you didn't pass Seven Circles. But I have 79 clear stars, and the only song where I don't have a crazy star on is Dash Hopes 3. To my understanding, playing on crazy difficulty and scoring a 95% or better nets you all the clear stars on any particular song. Is there something else that's going on? It would have saved me a lot of time trying to get 95% on Monotune - Survivor.

Even though I still have 3 more hours, I figured I'd post my views on the medal system's growth this year. 2010 has been great fun with all the medal games, and I am so, so, very glad that I decided to start posting here regularly. We've had the addition of 0-point medals, lots of medal bugs being fixed, and even a thread to post broken medals. We've had the change that makes any game with totally broken medals not show up, yet, we've also got a glitch that makes some medals not add to your total right away that hasn't been fixed. I hope to see more bug fixes, and more additions to the medal system in 2011! Maybe we'll even see the addition of medal moderators :D. One thing I've noticed, is that at the current rate of new medals, 100000 points should be possible by the 2-year anniversary of the medal system, and I hope to see the first person to reach it, getting exactly that number; I know I will. I've been collecting medals and reading this thread since the start, and wow, has the time just flown by, it seems like only yesterday did Portal Defenders come out.. And with that, this little essay comes to a close. Why is he posting this? you're probably asking. Well, the answer is.. I have no clue, I guess I just felt like it :P.

Same boat, different gravy for me. I also only need the million gifts and 5 hours playtime (really? 5 hours?) medals, though I've been gathering gifts fairly quickly now that I have the big gun. I basically fire straight across, maybe a little elevated, and try to stay up in the sky. I've been averaging over 20k presents per shot, so I'll be there in less than 10 games from where I am now. However, where I am now it's also coming up on 3am, so happy 2011 everyone, and try not to hit a moose.
