Sorry for the double post. The strategy I used worked, and with a little bit of luck at the early days, I got the atom bomb after day 19.

And the cheating part was obviously a joke, but this is the internetz, people take things the wrong way here ;)

Yes, just use the FlashHacker 2000 combined with speedhack-yo-flash DeLuxe edition. This way you can drop 17 bombs at one day, so it shouldn't be very hard.

Just curious. I didn't think it was possible, but I noticed greeneggs managed to do it. I haven't managed to beat it in under 20 days so maybe it's legit. But don't you have to buy the atomic bomb to win in under 20 days? You would think you would get the medal for buying the atomic bomb, then playing level 18 or 19 and getting the other medal next.

when you buy the atomic bomb the game ends immediately. The first time I beat the game (not on my first playthrough) I beat it on day 19, in which case you get the teachers pet medal first. Should be the case for anybody else who beats the game under day 20 for the first time too.

It is obviously possible to get the medal though; Nijsse has it too. Basically you just have to try and maximize your multiplier as much as possible (duh) by exploding cars in the right places and doing most of your damage at around the same time. You also probably want to drop your bomb on the first half of the screen (and buy the turret asap).

I bought the atomic bomb on day 24, and yeah, like you said, the game ends right away. But I got the medal as soon as I bought it. And you would think you would get the teachers pet medal after that no? I dunno maybe i'm just missing something. No biggie

you get the teachers pet medal right away too. In fact I didn't even see the Einstein approves medal pop up; so I had wondered if I had even been awarded it. Why it's like this is a question for the coder, not for me. But this isn't the only game like this and it's not hard to imagine this happening.

I imagine the author probably just did something like:

award medal 'teachers pet'
}
award medal 'einstein approves'
}

Just get the teachers pet medal and you'll know what I mean.

Man, it's freaking hard to get the atomic bomb before day 20. I think it will take me pretty long to get that one. I want it, it 's 100 points :D

Also, I noticed Larry and the Gnomes changed it's icon. Nothing important, just mentioning.

I think I could have had it after day 19 on my last game, but I chose my targets poorly; I needed 11,000pts on level 19 to have enough to buy it, and rather than aiming for the pagodas (points) I tried to build up my chaos by stringing car explosions together (multiplier). I ended up with 1800pts x3, and got it after day 20 for the second time.

At least the game is ludicrously fun, so it doesn't feel like a chore chasing this medal.

Is the medal for breaking 12 bricks before exiting a level not working for anyone else? So far my record is 19 in a single level, and I have yet to receive that medal. I also did 12 on the first level that has 12 and didn't get it.

Destroying buildings seem to easily give you multipliers, and destroying cars/explosives, or dropping bombs, near them work.

I'm having the same problem

Oh, so satisfying. Also oh so hard. I did it with a level 3 turret and using the para-shooters rather than the kamikazes. Figure out which two spots are the most advantageous to do serious damage, drop the paras at the first and the bomb at the second. I even lost my plane on level 16 and scored nothing on it, because apparently the dude flying my plane has no idea how to do damage when hitting a target.

Anyway, I found that once I had the paras it didn't matter where the moving cars were, since everything dies right after each other anyway. Just need to keep firing the whole time. I got a x2 multiplier on level 17 which was crucial, and a x4 on level 19. Amusingly, had I gotten a x3 on level 19 I would have had exactly 15,000 at the end of the level. Though I didn't know that at the time, and was sweating from places I didn't know could produce sweat.

My purchases:

Bomb
Turret 1 + Turret 2
(level 8; had enough for turret 3 but didn't buy it, saving for paras)
Paras + Bomb
Turret 3 + Bomb + Bomb (level 9 was very good to me)
(level 10)
Bombs to the end

chris-mark's strategy is pretty solid. You only need one out of kamikazes and paras. Although I observed that 5x multipliers are easier to get with kamikazes (I suppose since you can make the primary bomb and the kamikaze explode simultaneously), but paras can usually get you ~4x multipliers, and if I aim for kamikazes straight they usually come 2 days after when I could have gotten paras (usually day 10-11), and I never could get A-bomb by day 20.

The time-stop thing is useless. You never need turret above level 3 since it can kill ground enemies fast enough.

For chris-mark's strategy to work, I found that it was imperative that paras come at day 8. I almost always miss $7500 by a bit, and the A-bomb will always be one day too late. Thus I suggest you simply restart if your first 3 levels are abit crappy. IMO it's rather luck based, or perhaps I plain suck at getting the timings of the moving cars right.

Wait, how can it take you an extra 2 days, with the turret on level 8, to get another 1500pts? Even without a multiplier I can usually clear that much on day 8. Crazy. Though level 17 totally sucks for getting a multiplier; my best after half a dozen games is x2.

I disagree with it being useless, but it doesn't help get the a-bomb faster. What it does is help boost your score when you're playing all 25 days.

While messing around in Fig. 8 I found another route optimization to get to 500x faster. I'll incorporate it into my single combo run when I get to making it, but I've updated the annotations on my current fast 500x YouTube video for now. You know, the one in my current news post.

Oops, I wasn't thinking straight. I meant 1 day, and I quoted day 10 since I usually got paras on day 9. It would be day 11 if I sucked on the first few days.

Well I have the medal, but I didn't record it; who knew? I somehow don't think I'll be the first to get the video up though, since I won't be able to even make the attempt for at least another 7 hours.

I was kind of hoping to see another medal game released though. I'm less than 200 points away from 45,000, which is my current goal.

Am I correct in thinking the people who have the three hard medals in Save The Goons are playing on slowed computers? I can't see another way to do it.

I don't think that game is very hard. You don't have to hit the bombs with the top of the head - the sides will suffice. Thus I could get through level 12 simply by madly swiping my mouse furiously back and forth when I was getting into any trouble. Yeah, it's a bit lame, but it works.

Bomb blocker is still broken....right?

Other thing: can someone help me out with Trick-or-Treat Adventure? I'm trying to get the Depth Prober medal (look at everything in your bedroom), and I've looked at EVERYTHING as far as I know. I can't click the robe (left), I can't click the tables beneath and right, the end of the bed just says 'it's your bed blablabla' and the shelf with the books just says 'books! blablabla'. My hunch is that it's the green thing beneath your bed, but when I click that it also says 'it's your bed'. Someone please.

That's not difficult at all. Get a couple of turret upgrades, don't buy anything else, and just save up.
