Perfectionist was like that last night. After a bunch of failures due to dumb mistakes I announced I was going to stay here until I got the medal, and I got it on my next try or the one after that. There's one tricky bit near the end where you have to go between some large rocks, and after I'd gotten to the top of the left-hand circle I was practically salivating. If I'd lost it on that last passageway I think I'd be in the market for a new monitor.

Erm...I completed Primary, now I just need some extra medals...I am currently trying to get the time trials, but when I tried getting the first one @ level 9 (45 secs), when I finished I didn't get anything.
I tried again (and got 27 secs), but still nothing.
I don't get the "new best time" pop-up, and of course I don't get the medal pop up...what do I do?

Don't know. I can't get them because my primary computer is too slow.

On an entirely different game... I finally got the "Knightfall the First" medal for Knightfall 2. It took me 6-8 tries for some reason. I didn't have as much problem with the "Grandmaster Flash" medal as I did with this one. I got under 500 moves on my 2nd try for that one, but this one... I don't know. I guess it's easier to mess up and accidentally hit less than 3 blocks... Well, one more medal and I'll have them all. Yay!

It took me 3 tries as well. I would always accidentally hit a single block. Usually just above a dragon rider or some other large monster. Unlike other games, I didn't mind replaying Knightfall 2 because it has great music. shame you can't download it from newgrounds.

And the medal system seems to be working properly (tried Ubergrounds, and I got "connection established!")...
As you understand I can't try deleting my save game, so what shall I do (already tried deleting everything except the save game)?

Check recent reviews on the game. If many other people are experiencing the issue, they will complain there. It might be a widespread issue or you may have to delete your saved game. I always scan recent reviews to find out. For example, Shift 4 (MF'ing &$^#($*#(@^$#@ useless game) I visit occasionally and check the reviews. They all say "Medals don't work". Thus I know to avoid beating the game for the 6th time.

Sadly, there are no recent reviews from the time I got my last medal to the time I failed to get one..so they don't help.Can anyone here try and beat level 9 in under 45 secs and see if he gets the popup (you can see it in-game, so you could see it even if you already have the medal-I think)?

Do you think finding the .sol file, keeping it somewhere safe, getting rid of the original and then copy it back would fix the problem?

It can't hurt to try it. Try using that .sol on another computer to make sure it transfers ok. If it does, do it that way.

Well....Primary is an easy game once you know the solutions. If you've already been to lvl 25 it'll probably take you another 15 mins (max) to get it again.

If you go on Firefox just load the game, then go into; Tools -> Page Info -> Media and you should find the .swf file and just save it on your computer.

I also completed Primary today because I didn't get some medals I shoudl've gotten. I still didn't get them. I got some medal pop-ups however, but I already got those, they were FrozenFire and Blackout. However, the in-game achievements show some medals that I DIDN'T get, like collecting all crayons. The game is probably bugged.

I see...I would be really happy if someone could start a "clean" game, beat the first level, retrieve the .sol file, then delete everything and try to paste the .sol back and see if you can load the game..

Because I don't want to risk doing it with my file because it could not work, and then I would be screwed...

I made a habit of manipulating .sol files while going for medals that take a while. All the games look at is the current state of the existing .sol file, nothing else. If you're really concerned, just rename the entire directory, and you'll get a fresh start. When you're done, remove the new directory the game created and rename your original one back where it was. Though you then won't have in-game credit for the medals in question. I suspect that's not going to matter to you though.
